The Shipping Lanes Hotel was described as lovely with spotless rooms and excellent breakfast. The hosts, Trudi and Alan, were friendly and accommodating. The location was great, near the promenade an (Read More)d with a sea view from the window. The hotel was praised for its cleanliness, decor, spacious bedrooms, relaxing chairs, and fantastic food. Both reviewers highly recommended the hotel and planned to return in the future.

Relaxing break

When we checked in we were advised that we had been given the room called Trafalgar which is on the 1st floor. It was amazing with a balcony but too cold to use that however they had 2 seats in the bay window which overlooked the sea. As we were there to spend time relaxing this was a lovely room and a great location. There is a car park however we managed to park almost outside the hotel which as my husband has ME was ideal. We were asked for a time for breakfast and our choice for an Full English, there is also a choice of cereal, yogurts and fruit juices. We would highly recommend this hotel and the hosts were lovely and friendly. What more can you ask for.

Would definitely stay again. Unusual to find somewhere as clean, neat and tidy.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortably surroundings. Friendly hosts. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and piping hot. Bedroom had a great view. It was bright, fresh and warm.

A FABULOUS HOTEL.

The hotel is around a 20 minutes walk from The Platform. There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby. The room had a balcony which faced beautiful Morecambe Bay. The room, itself, was tastefully decorated and extremely clean. There was plenty of good quality furniture and a hospitality tray, in the room. There were ensuite facilities which consisted of a good shower, toilet and hand-sink. All were clean to the highest standard. A non-slip mat, for the shower, was supplied. Breakfast was well-organised with plenty of tasty and filling food. The bar area was cosy with a friendly ambience. The hosts were, altogether, brilliant. This, really, is a fabulous hotel !
