we stayed 3 nights, but they never clean the room or change supplements even though we requested numerous times. lots of bugs like mosquitoes and ants.

great location for beach which was one of the reasons I booked this place
location was great, clean towels and made up room everyday.
the free water was very handy and accessible especially on hot summer days. Access to beach towels very handy and accessible.
Unfortunately the room wasn't clean, upon arrival there was a dead cockroach in between the sliding doors, a spider in the bathroom and spider web in corner of room and lamp on side of bed. The carpet was not vacuumed to standard as there was a slipper under the bed. The security gate on the south side of the complex was broken and not working for most of the 6 days I was there. I did report this to the front desk and to the bar area. I think it just needs a few tweaks on cleanliness and some friendly smiling faces around the resort would help as well to get it back to the acceptable standard based on value. Overall the standard was disappointing compared to 5-8 years ago when I was there last.

Absolute perfection
The beautiful Sheridan Grande Mirage resort was exquisite. Perfect location right on the beach. The food was impeccable at the in-house restaurants - Breakfast buffet is a must do - even room service was amazing. Highly recommend the New York baked cookie with vanilla bean icecream as a treat. Staff were wonderful - friendly and obliging. Parking on site for $20 daily was so convenient. Rooms were serviced daily too. Fresh sheets and towels. Fresh towels by the pool also noting Pool was a lovely temperature too. Plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas available.

Unless the property gets an upgrade its a complete waste of money.
Beach access and location.
It is so tired and in need of a renovation. The pictures of the pools and water features of the property are completely deceptive. For the entire resort they have one pool with more than 200 sun beds for all of those people. The pool is over crowded, soupy and disgusting. They had to close the pool one afternoon after a code brown (guest pooed in the pool) and there was no alternative to swim unless you can manage the ocean for more than half the day in 35 degree heat, its not good enough. Rooms run down and tired.
There are not enough staff to keep the property clean , especially pool side and surrounding areas and so for a five star resort its really really under whelming and disappointing given the prices they are charging.

the breakfast choice is good but eggs were either under cooked or overcooked eg eggs florentine should have runny yolk not hard boiled
the Christmas dinner on the whole was average
no turkey available except for a wing left which was overcooked and hard . arctic crab claws tasted stale and insides dried out .
but hats off to jordan the chef who made me some grilled bugs because im allergic to garlic and the bugs available had garlic butter
like i said the staff here are A + grade
the hotel is tired and there is a smell of stale dampness at the doors at the end of the corridor on level 3 leading to the reception area corridor
also there was a smell of urine just outside some automatic doors near garden . obviously some patron misbehaving and we had a smell of cigarette smoke in room for first two days which dissipated when we left windows wide open during day .

Beautiful architecture and landscaping, very relaxed feel, staff very friendly and helpful.
The design of the buildings, the landscaping, the spaciousnes, are the special features. Rooms very comfortable and sound proof. Loved that the windows opened. Buffet meals great.
