A bucket-list 5-star resort in Cebu for a balikbayan

Stayed here for two nights and the hotel exceeded our expectations! We took an upgrade offer so we stayed at the top floor that has access to an exclusive dining lounge. The highlight of our stay was our daily breakfast buffet (I truly felt the 5-star here, keep this up) and the Happy Hour, set in a dining area that has an amazing view of the sea. The dining staff's attention to the guest (Order ala carte for chef-curated dishes such as Eggwhite frittata and Poached egg) without being too overbearing, was great! A kind staff gently reminded me that we cant bring food from the buffet to our rooms, but she helped me pack some pastries anyway - love her! We also had a chance to take a yoga class at the hotel and she really gave us a great workout. I wish we had more time to enjoy all the amenities.

Location

Rooms are old and smell very bad. The plumping does not work. This is a 2 or 3 stars resorts at best.

I will definitely want to go back again!

The room was spacious, the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. The spread at the buffet was sumptuous. They make the rooms twice a day.

The drinking water provided in the rooms tasted salty and the crowd at breakfast was overwhelming due to the slow turnover of tables and high occupancy rate.

Hotel is quite old now.... needs some renovating. It's definitely expensive for what you get.

Wonderful. Worth upgrading for Club Lounge access.

Beautiful beach with fishes (including clown fish, lionfish), sea urchins, eels and many others once you enter the sea. Lifeguards on duty too. Excellent service - staff is polite and warm and always smiling. And accommodative to supply packed breakfast at 3-4am.

Nothing. Just that the distance is far from the other tourist sites (whale watching & Moalboal) and traffic is extremely slow, but this is a reflection of the road infrastructure in the city and around the island.
