Comfortable stay, hotel rooms need major upgrades.

We took half board, food was really good. The buffet had amazing variety and the quality of food and service was outstanding

We booked 2 premier ocean rooms. We reached the hotel at 4pm. We were given our rooms which were not ocean view. One of our rooms we had booked was meant to have twin bed however there was one bed and an extra bed. After 2 hours of going back and forth the manager admitted the rooms given were incorrect and finally moved us to the rooms we booked. Literally half of our first day was wasted due to this.

Disappointing

Dont expect much other than a typical hilton stay.

Activities available in the hotel made the stay pleasant. Property was nice and clean.

Was first given the wrong room which has an extra bed and furniture was displaced. If not for the assistance of specific front desk staff, particularly the 2 guys who were extremely kind, i would file a formal complaint for the experience we had in the first 2 hours at the hotel. Specifically booked a candle light dinner for our anniversary. Spent a good 20 minutes trying to locate the booking as pre arrangements has not been done. Talk about effort from a hotel like Shangri la. Called for room service twice which turned up 30 minutes before check out time. Pool closes at 8pm and beach access is restricted during the day as well.

Exceptional

Personalized customer care - beyond expectations!!

We never expected personalized customer care from a hotel chain at this level. Staff at restaurants, pool, garden, beach, front deck etc. were exceptional. Main restaurant chef Kumara, supervisor Madhu, and restaurant support staff Senaka wanted to make sure were were happy and provided with extra care all the time for every meal, this was a unique experience and thank for the service and Kudos for the hotel management. Similarly housekeeping staff, Suraj wanted to make sure that we were happy and provided everything at the room beyond expectations, he made a nice alligator on the floor with towels to keep us surprised!!

Huge, beautiful report Friendly staff

Food: break we ok, we took half board as there isnt much options in the area The dinner buffet, I would say is the only thing that we didnt like, meat quality is bad - very chewy even hard to cut with knife Too much black pepper in most of the food items

Wonderful staff - lacks a bit of atmosphere

All the staff are amazing

The hotel is a bit remote . We dont play golf ( its a golf resort)

Superb

food was amazing, pool and facilities so good.

The hotel is the only nice place in the area. The closets thing to do or see is 1:30 mins away by car which wasn't very convenient for a short stay.

Very good

Rooms were nice and the sports bar was good. Staff were friendly.

The grounds were poorly maintained. Mud everywhere. Need more ground workers as it made the hotel seem unkept. Lift wasnt working correctly. Its a lot of money to stay there, if there are faults they should be fixed.
