The Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is a cosi and nicely placed hotel with a small pool and clean, simple rooms. The kitchen offers good variety but the quality is just okay. The staff is excellent and h (Read More)elpful, with Oscar going above and beyond to provide delicious Indian vegetarian food. The lodge has an awesome location surrounded by greenery and offers stunning views of Lake Nakuru. It is well-fenced for safety and offers a play area, archery area, swimming pool, and good value buffet.

The surroundings, the lodge is in the middle of the national park surrounded by beautiful greenery. So peaceful and beautiful!

Lovely Stay.

The buffet food selection was extensive ensuring diverse options for different palettes. The room was clean and spacious. The grounds were very quiet, nice for a nature getaway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also warmed up the bed in the evening using a hot water bottle! very appreciated given the chilly temperature in the evening. The evening meal was accompanied by great live music!

Convenient to see the rift valley and flamingos!

Staff were super friendly, and Jayne the manager came to meet us and she was really welcoming and passionate. The food was fantastic. A huge variety of buffet freshly made, cooked in front of you, for every meal. The location is very pretty, looking into the lake. Nice little touches like washing your car overnight without you asking. The gardens are well kept and large. The rooms were OK and the shower worked fine. Great that they put fresh drinking water into your room every day. We saw loads of rhino, hyena, giraffes, zebra, antelopes and hippos.

The room is a very dated and need a major upgrade. The furniture in particular needs to be recovered, updated and rooms bedchamber some art! The bed was very sunk in the middle, which is problematic if you are a double! The roof of our bathroom was leaking because it was raining heavily. The other issue is more to do with a Park and not the resort, but they need to redo all the signage in the park, because it still looks like you can drive around the lake, but you cant because the lake has actually increased nearly 40% in size. The hotel should brief you on that when you arrive and should take down the out of date map in the reception, as we got lost. Take a 4W4 car as roads are bad! We didnt see any lions.

Very nice lodge to explore the amazing Nakuru park

This is a safe, well maintained, convenient lodge to spend a couple nights and enjoy the park. The number one asset is the staff, they are extremely kind and professional. The rooms are simple but nice.

I guess the one thing that could be improved is the food. Nothing alarming, we had all of our meals at the buffet and always found stuff to eat. It's just that desserts all look nice but disappoint in the mouth - which is something I could say about many places in the country though, even ArtCaffe in NBO.

Good but could have been better.

Beautiful property and great view of the lake. Staff were great, welcoming and helpful.

1. Limited food options for vegetarians. 2. For a resort of this level, it was sad that there was a lizard in the room when we arrived. While one expects to see creepy crawlies, one pays extra for a resort thinking the rooms would be insulated but they clearly werent. Not great for anyone with a phobia.

A great option at a reasonable price to enjoy the Nakuru game reserve. We had a great time.

Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is an amazing lodge located inside the Nakuru national reserve. We had an amazing time and we enjoyed the hotel and the game drives in the reserve. The hotel offered an upgrade to the suite, which we really enjoyed. Great set up, with very nice garden and views to the lake, and great buffet options. We would recommend staying here.

Nothing to mention. We had a great time and we are very greatful to the staff. Maybe to mention that the road between Nairobi and Nakuru is very busy and that at certain times we had some concerns on road safety. However, we would recommend doing this road to discover the communities in the Rift Valley.

Nice place to stay

The people were good, the reception guy called Nelson were really nice and funny. There was birds feeding area the kids and adults enjoyed it, also they had fishs and frogs that can be feeded too

The extra bed were not so comfy
