Very good

Enjoyable despite the spa and car parking charge.

Location Service and staff

Poor spa .Too few beds. Air/ moisture above the spa pool was very dirty looking. The aromatherapy room was poor very little heat or aroma. You should not have to pay for parking in the hotels grounds.

Great staff. Delicious food. Beautiful scenery. Fantastic spa!

The room was not clean. There was dust everywhere. The shower had a wash cloth in that wasnt picked up and cleaned before we were given the room. When I asked staff to clean the shower and pick up the washcloth, this was not done.

Exceptional

Really relaxing and peaceful.

The staff were great, really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good, we didn't eat dinner there, but I expect it would also be really good. The spa facilities were slightly smaller than I had expected, but we were there completely on our own, so that made up for it. Our room was delightful. We will definitely stay there again.

It was a bit of a pain having to pay for parking. Other than that, it was excellent.

Very comfortable to stay, but eat in the village

Very attractive and comfortable, well positioned at the heart of the Lakes. Good spa. We were upgraded unexpectedly which was a treat.

The food was very disappointing. Fine dining doesnt mean small on a nice plate in my book. Very mean portions at breakfast and dinner throughout at quite high price. My wife had a small salmon steak with no veg for 25. A particular issue for me as a longstanding vegan was that the published menu wasnt available and the Twixtmas menu had no choices, despite this being discussed at the time of booking and confirmed in writing. I was offered a bowl of tomato soup. My recommendation would be to eat in the village where there are good choices at much better value. To be fair, I got a genuine apology and compensation on departure but it shouldnt have happened at that price at all.
