The Renaissance Long Beach Hotel offers excellent service and is conveniently located downtown. The rooms are clean and spacious, with Aveda products provided. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety (Read More) of options and the staff, like Maria, are extremely helpful. However, the rooftop pool is only on the 3rd floor, not on the actual rooftop as advertised. The hotel is currently undergoing construction on upper levels, but the noise isn't too bothersome. Overall, it's a good hotel with a great location and friendly staff.

Disappointing

The reviews were too good to be true.

There was nothing positive to say about the hotel besides the location being convenient to our destination.

Renovations were not mentioned on booking site or hotel website. Confusing layout and lack of proper signage to address this. Drilling noises for hours. Staff was not welcoming. Comforters looked dingy and possibly unwashed. Bathroom did not have fan to vent steam from shower. Random locked door made it sound like adjacent neighbors were talking in our room. My family was woken up several times due to this. Also, $38/day for self parking in a cramped lot.

Very good

Comfortable and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Location seemed very good. We walked to all of the places we wanted to visit.

Needed distilled water for my cpap, and they did not have any, and we were unable to find any in nearby shops.

Disappointing

not great you quoted me a much lower rate saying taxes and everything included and they charged my credit card 1026$

nothing we were not aware they were renovating

Nice place potentially, it was before but wait until they finish renovating

Location

Where to start, lots of renovations so no restaurant or bar except makeshift. They are trying. But when we lost water both nights, and no a/c or hot water the second day and I still paid full price? But if you complained they gave in. I didnt but I shouldnt have too initiate that conversation.

location and pool hot tub area nice

under construction, a poorly makeshift restaurant room with inconvenient times (only a & 30pp buffet offered for breakfast) as well and calling the same room the bar/lounge with a 4p start with nothing available for pool time until 4?? too pricey for the lack of standard amenities at that caliber of hotel. and the "lounge" was a bar cart with minimal selection.
