Disappointing

The room was clean and the location was great.

The pension was supposed to be open at 9, and I arrived there at 9.50. The receptionist came at 11. I knew the check-in time was 13, but I wanted to leave my luggage beforehand as they expresses in their websites and emails sent before. Noone answered the phones. I left several voice messages to a mobile phone number that they gave. Noone answered... I waited with another guy and the cleaning lady for an hour and those two people needed to contact someone from the pension. Finally, the lady came at 11 and I left my luggage and confirmed if she will be there at 13 for the check-in. She assured me. I was back at 12.55. Noone opened the door and noone answered the phone (both the pension and the mobile phone number. After 10-15 minutes, she answered the phone and let me in... THE BELL WAS OFF, so she couldn't hear. Noone is aware of this.... Both incidents very frustrating. I was there during working hours. I didn't deserve to wait outside in winter.

A nice weekend trip

The location is fantastic, it is in the centre of the city, you can walk to everything. The room is basic, clean and warm.

The shelf above the sink in the room is way too low.

Steep stairs can be a problem with heavy luggage.

Location was good, check in flexibility not great

It was not clear on the website when i booked that i am sharing the bathroom and shower with other people and that it is locateed outside the room, so i was shocked.

Superb

Great stay- I would stay here again when visiting Hamburg.

Convenient location that is close to central area attractions and public transportation. The room was clean and the maid cleaning service excellent. Friendly staff.

The stairs were steep and there was no lift. No refrigerator in the room. The street and sidewalk was being reconstructed during my stay which made walking a bit treacherous.
