Exceptional

An exceptional hotel with great location

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. The staff is exceptional. They are always very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is very good and varied, including the food served in their restaurant. They even provided me with a take away breakfast on my early morning checkout.

The only negative thing is their internet connection. Its extremely slow and cuts off frequently.

Location is very good, property is clean.

Building needs some renovation as it is an old building. Shower pressure was very low. Room A/C is a stand alone split type and it is inadequate for the room. Breakfast buffet also has very limited options.

The rooms are big, clean and well kept. The restaurant and food is good. Some of the staff are friendly.

Thier response time. They forgot to arrange for airport pickup and misinformed me that the driver is late. I had to take a taxi after waiting a while. Upon checking in, the room card was not activated, i had to come down and get another card. So it wasnt a great start but the rest of the stay was uneventful.

An okay hotel for a short stay

The rooms are spacious and clean. The floor of the room is uncarpeted, so it's better to use slippers (not available in the room). There's a safe, a small fridge, and a water heater in the room. There's a bidet in the bathroom. If you're lucky to have the new Hisense TV in your room, then you'd have direct access to YouTube and you'd be able to cast your phone directly to the TV. My room had an older Samsung TV that wasn't a smart TV, but my family had the Hisense TV in their room. The hotel's location is good in the heart of the city (close to everything: Slipway, Village museum, Coco beach, and other places). The staff members are very kind and always smiling, from the housekeepers to the bellboy to the restaurant servers, but not the receptionists (both the day and night ones, who were helpful but kinda bold). You can ask the housekeepers for a dental kit if you forgot your toothbrush and toothpaste. There's a small gym on the 4th floor, which you could access via the stairs. The elevator goes up as far as the 3rd floor, then you'd have to take the emergency exit stairs to go up to the gym. There's an airport shuttle for $60 (one way) if you book the big car (7 persons).

You get what you pay for although it's kinda pricey (around $120 per night). The restaurant is below average, especially the breakfast which is a very small buffet. The only good thing about it was the omelette live station.
