Stay at Nirman Beach Homestay, Puri

The location and proximity to the beach were the only positive points of the property.

1) Reality check,NOT AT ALL PET FRIENDLY. People and staffers were looking at my 1yr old dog as if some alien creature has landed at their doorsteps. 2) Paid Rs 400 extra for cleaning as we had a pet. No housekeeping done by anyone for the 4 days we stayed. Infact we were given a broom and asked to clean ourselves which we did for first 2 days. 3) Bathroom was full of sand which I personally cleaned up on the very first day. Bathroom.could have been more cleaner. 4) Non functional Inverter. Spent a night for 40 mins without power. 5) Non functional TV. Told the owner's representative atleast twice but in vain. 6) Property door is closed after 10pm. Can be increased to atleast 11pm. 7) Kitchen area very dirty and dingy with no lighting. Expect property to be true to what they say and advertise about themselves.

Nice place with scenic view and very good staffs.

Its really too close to the beach..you can get clear view of the beach from your windows..u can take videos and photos..every thing was good.

Don't have refrigerator so I had to cook every meal everyday. It's kind of tiresome sometimes when we are travelling for relaxation

Very good

The behaviour of the owner was very nice. The sister of the owner Dr. Mitanjali welcomed us. Throughout our stay she was always available and helped us. This homestay is very close to the sea beach and it is a very safe and secured place. Here we got a car parking facility within the premises.

It needs some more maintenance.

Not bad,,ok for the price.

The owner was very polite and home stay was near to the beach and restaurants.

It's far away from temple every time we had to spend 300 for visiting temple and return. .And also the bathroom was not good , the toilet seat was damaged.

The behaviour of property owner is very nice. He speaks well & guide well. He maintained quality of Rooms very clean and hygienic. Overall he is nice Man. ..... Jai Jagannath .

Very good location, very near to the beach. The room was good. From the balcony we can see the sea. It has basic cooking utensils. The owner is really good and her sister too. Very helpful. Value for money for this one

A trip ruining stay at Nirman.

The only thing I liked was the building rest all including the facilities and room was literally trash. To be honest the manager/care taker they have named Mitanjali needs to be schooled about professionalism and good behaviour. She made sure that everything about the stay becomes unlikable for us. Also I liked how good lying skills they have. As they won't mention how they are going to charge you extra for services every other place would provide for free. They'll even charge you for water and then send the maintenance staff for tip. One other thing I really liked was them being greedy and shifting us a day before our checkout only cauz we extended our stay one day. She (Mitanjali) said aap extend kar rahe ho dusre ka room liya hai woh 2 din ke liye hi dega ek ke liye nahi aur hummare dusre guest aarahe hai. Like really? Who brought them into business. The location is great but the people are really ruining it. She charged us super extra for some downgrade Oyo quality room with no facilities like zero.(1800 was her price obvio we negotiated.) Also, they'll lock the door at 12 and won't give a f about you. But won't take a moment before messing with you which is very unnecessary. I also liked the fact that I and my friends contributed a whopping 8000 for a 4 day stay which was trash and now we have learnt from our mistakes. I hope you all learn too and book a better place. As they'll add taxes and make it expensive once you reach which they won't tell you until you arrive and then say that's our commission charges and stuff... 0/10 experience. Plus they'll delay your check-in for hours but will try to kick you out at sharp 8 during check-out. I liked all this as it is a learning experience for us. Never making this mistake again.

I didn't like the staff. The care taker/manager was very rude, annoying, greedy, least understandable and super impolite. The fact that we were charged a lot of money under the name of taxes without any information. Plus they ruined the home stay culture for me and my friends. Plus they said yes you can cook we have a kitchen during pre-booking and on arrival asked for money to use stove and even charged for utensils. We asked for one day extension. She (mitanjali) shifted us a day before saying "dusre ka room liya hai woh 2 din ke liye hi deta hai." Trashiest excuse. We were charged for both tho. She tried fooling us and had the room locked for the same day with some more innocent people who probably got fooled too. The room we got shifted to was worse than what you can imagine. Now, think about the 2 days we spent there. Also, just to shift us out she was ready to get in our rooms and transfer our stuff without our permission just because we refused too. We were never informed about her greedily locking the room for new guests when we were still booked for one more day. Nirman House Stay, especially Mitanjali successfully cheated and fooled us and we regret all our experiences there. I hope the staff was better and cultured. Just one more pro-location ruined because of the shameless people. I hope the owner kicks them out and hires some professional. They have no idea about anything around the service industries just some folks trying to make some quick bucks. I hope nobody else gets fooled. Also the location isn't sea facing. It faces a trashy garden with a old structure (probably a place under renovation.) The beach is on right side and one can only see a little part of it. They'll fool you with a video as they cut that part. This is nothing but fraud I hope they stop doing this and send people a complete video of the view instead of cutting the part which it actually faces.
