Comfortable, friendly chalet in the heart of Aspen.

Breakfast was delicious. Cocoa and cookies are a nice touch. Two blocks to the gondola. The art on the walls tells the history of Aspen and the Chalet like a museum. Thank you very much.

Egg dish prepared to order. Generous breakfast.

Underground parking was a surprise and somewhat tight to navigate. we were lucky to get a temporary spot on-street to reach the lobby and get directions to the underground entrance ( had to go around the block twice because we missed it the first try and went in another hotel's underground).

Very poor

Very overpriced, disappointing stay:(.

The breakfast was decent and the employees working in the breakfast room were friendly and hardworking.

The woman who checked me in was incompetent. I showed her 3 photos I had taken and she did nothing (ripped carpet, blinds that would close, and a lamp with the bulb dangling) I had 2 different rooms for the 2 nights I was there. She was supposed to have my luggage moved to the new room but when it was ready for me to check in the bags were still in the old room. She also came into my room at 7am, turning the lights on and waking me up, and then closing the door quickly. It was very frightening not to mention annoying because I did not sleep well in either room because of noises and uncomfortable bedding. When I went to the front desk to ask about someone coming in my room she said, "I am so sorry. That was me. It was showing there was no one in the room and I was showing it to a couple that wanted to switch rooms." I am not sure how what she was saying was true because she is the one who checked me in to the room the day before??? I should have been compensated for my horrible stay. I asked to talk to a manager but she said he wasn't there and didn't know when he would be back. Both rooms were musty and smelled like dog.

Pleasant

Expensive! We stayed during summer & was very pricey for a standard room. Perfect location.

Great location. Staff were wonderful! There's parking available underneath the hotel.

It's expensive for what you pay for, the room was very old and outdated. Really needs investment into the place.

Hope to be back

As a long time visitor of the Aspen area, what fun memories are held in such a building and the pictures were fantastic. Love the old lodge feeling we know its under a renovation process would be really fun if you could keep it as traditional as possible.
