The Mercure Norwich Hotel is a bit dated in terms of fixtures and furnishings but offers the convenience of USB ports by the bed. The hotel boasts a large car park suitable for vans. Room furniture may need updating, but the burgers are highly recommended.

Although dated, the staff are excellent, the rooms are warm and comfortable and the WiFi works ok.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful,

The bathroom. The fan needs to be upgraded and the shower or bath would really benefit from an extra hand held shower so that you do not have to get in the main shower just to wash your hair. Also the toilet flush was quite weak.

The location was convenient and the staff were polite and helpful.

The breakfast was not good, the hot food had obviously been left out for a while. The pastries were also quite dry. The range of other cold breakfast options was good though.

Christmas meal very disappointing!!

Room was very comfy although it looks a very tired hotel but clean

Had work Christmas party, food was not worth the price that we all paid. Xmas roast was very small 2 tiny roast potatoes that were burnt, 2 tiny bits of turkey, a rock hard stuffing ball. Veg: piled high with carrots and a tiny bit of cabbage! Gravy already on the meal not all people like gravy, I do, and had to ask for more Starter: pate with 2 tiny bits of Melba toast, not toast as it should be. Will definitely not book Xmas meal here next year unless it improves. We did stay for breakfast. That was very nice. The staff were lovely and very helpful
