The lack of phone reception and TV was seen as refreshing, and the abundance of kangaroos and wallabies added to the tranquility. The cabin offered stunning views of the night sky and was well-equipped with books and board games. Some mentioned the need to bring their own water or boil the tank water. One guest experienced difficulty in keeping cool during hot weather.

Rural delight

I was in need of accommodation with a kitchen as close as possible to a wedding venue and this was the only one I could find to serve the purpose; I was delighted with my find. The hostess was an absolute treasure, making sure everything was ready and that we would be comfortable. The house is huge and set in a lovely location with plenty of land surrounding the house. The kitchen was superbly kitted out with quality equipment and everything you could possibly need.

Being a rural location the water was tank-based and the pumping system was not set up well, so that cycling while using the shower was annoying and made having a consistent water temperature impossible - and we are used to tank water and pumps. The accommodation cost was high, and so small things such as blind hems coming undone and sliding doors not being secure, as well as the television not working with free to air was annoying.

Marigold Cottage was so comfortable, it was hard to leave.

THe property was immaculate. There were extras in the kitchen that made cooking and staying in so much easier. The owner was so easy to deal with.

Home away from home, great location

Great location, rooms were set up as per our needs and were very clean. It was great to know that host had bought a brand new fire pit as we requested for one. That was awesome.

There was no lock to the common bathroom and toilet.

Superb

The perfect place for a family to stay!

The house was great and the host had thought of everything. There were toys and books for the kids, well equipped kitchen with eggs, bread and cereal left for breakfast. There were binoculars and lots of places to relax.

My only dislike was the outdoor area near the bbq needed the tiles cleaned as there had been spills on them and the grass was a bit overgrown and the garden needed a tidy up. Certainly not major concerns though.

Superb

A perfect weekend in the Blue Mountains.

We loved the cute cottage in the beautiful surroundings. We saw Eastern Rozellas and Crimson Rozellas in the gardens as well as kangaroos! We also enjoyed a brilliant Easter egg hunt. The cottage is a short drive from Blackheath which is a lovely town. The cottage was well stocked and very clean and comfortable.

lovely house, but not so pleasant experiences because of the owner.

the property was well stocked with all the essential. lovely touch by the owner by leaving a note.

not much I dont like about the property.except there were thousands of flies .,But, and its a big but, I have doubts about the owner of the property. I asked for earlier check in if possible, she said no, but she told me I could come a day earlier. that really left bitter taste in my mouth. I couldnt come earlier anyway cos I just arrived at Sydney on the day of the check in. we arrived at 2 30pm at the property, the door couldnt open cos the lock has been set to be open at 3pm. we had to wait for half hour. clearly the property was ready, but not even allowed to go in the property when the property was ready was really annoying. I also asked for 1 hour late check out because of the jet lagged. also been told no, I have been told that it took 3 hours for cleaner to get the house ready. 10am check out time, 3 hours cleaning, so the house would be ready at 1pm, if its 11am check out, the house would be ready at 2pm. plenty of time for next guests. the strict check in and check out rules was the first I came cross. and I had traveled and stayed in lots of places. from 5 star hotels to house like this. this was the first time I was denied checked in when the property was ready.
