The La Playa Hotel is a beautiful and charming hotel in a perfect location near the beach and town. The rooms have ocean views and the included breakfast with made-to-order omelets and waffles is out (Read More)standing. The staff is friendly and the service is 5 star. The hotel has a nice pool, outdoor area, and a lively bar. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Overall, it's a great option in Carmel with delightful staff and great amenities.

Very good

Overall a very good experience but feel for the price the rooms are a little dissappointing.

Overall a beautiful property with many character features. Love the lounge area, pool & grounds.

Rooms are small for the price.

Really friendly, high end boutique hotel in a great location

Very chic and friendly

Only non-positive comment for this excellent hotel is that the coffee wasnt hot at breakfast. Not a problem though as the breakfast overall was exceptional.

Overall, it was the staff that made us feel welcome and its made the stay with them enjoyable!

At first we were given a room that was terrible!! I just had surgery. I need it to be on a ground floor room. They put us in a very dark small room.! Mind you paying close to $700 a night. But after telling management that this was unacceptable. They were able to find a better room for us, and we were most appreciative.!

Poor

The service does not match the price tag

The location

There is no bell service to help with the luggage (being an older building there are stairs only). No valet service and you have to park in residential neighborhood. While unloading our own luggage in the loading zone the representative reminded us to move our car. Housekeeping never came to turn over the room. We had to ask twice. 3K for a two night stay I honestly just expect more than Motel 6 service.
