I would definitely come back! Nice and comfy hostel.

There was female and male toilets in all floors. They have a kitchen and dinning area, tv room and free parking.

The fact that we have to take all the sheets to wash. I think this should be the cleaners responsibility.

Great base to explore Inverness

It is very close to the city center - 15mins walk to the train station. Staff was very helpful! Sleeping quality was great - mattress was good and room was warm enough. Reading lights were provided for each bed. Big dining room and fully equipped kitchen. A cat who welcomed me in the lobby :)

It would be great if they have hairdryer. The hostel was rather full with families with small children during my stay (close to new year). So it was quite noisy at times - but it was quiet at night.

Good overall, just a few minor issues.

I was glad that it was not a huge amount of people in one room. My room stayed for 4 people. I also appreciated the sizable kitchen with all sorts of cooking items, it really saved me on costs for dining out. The bathrooms were clean and the room even had its own vanity.

I did not like that there was only 2 outlet/plug-ins in the whole room, and they were located by the door. I had to charge my phone before bed and unplug it so I could have my phone alarm for the morning. It was an added headache for everyone in my room, as we all had to juggle when we could charge our phones, laptops, etc. I also wish the bathrooms were en-suite but that is a minimal complaint. The showers are also in their own room, but only one light worked in the shower, leaving the other shower almost in the dark, if not for the exterior light in the room (outside of the shower). The overhead light by the bed took some coaxing to turn on, as it sputtered to life after a few tries. The distance to town is 20 minutes walk, through a nice neighborhood, but it became a bit tedious to walk in and out everyday.

Warm, welcoming and peaceful.

Friendly staff, when you go through the front door it feels welcoming. My room was warm and comfortable and most importantly, the area was quiet and peaceful allowing a good nights sleep.

It would be churlish to complain about this hostel at this price point. I don't have any concerns.

Covered expectations, price adequated to quality. I will come back.

I booked a single room with bathroom with shower inside the room, and it covered perfectly the expectations. It was very spacious, with basic furniture but what is needed was there. Comfortable bed and the most important part, very clean. The staff was really kind, and helpful. They have kitchen facilities for those interested in use it.

The room was cold at my arrive (and it was late, practically 10PM, so I need to wait more than 1h to have adequated temperature). The water in the shower also took time to feel hot, but after some time, is perfect. No elevator on the building. The location is a bit far away from the city center, but after a day and once you know the best way to arrive, is not as hard as it seems firstly.

Victoria Road Youth Hostel

Staff excellent ! Brilliant Location - just on outskirts of town but close enough to walk(weather permitting), plenty of buses - bus stop nearby.. Meet lots of people from all walks of life . Very quiet at night... Big kitchen and large eating area.. Also has a good laundry/ drying room. Good value. Safe store for leaving baggage. Huge car park..

No lift! Noticed lots of dust around the accomodation areas and carpets, found a hot water bottle under my bed when I was leaving.. Dirty pillows with no pillow protectors..(bought my own ones) same with duvets! Mattress protectors looked like an afterthought, not great! Water damage throughout building..poor repair and maintenance. Holes in ceilings everywhere. Skeleton staffing levels..keeps costs down but does nothing for care of building.
