Very nice establishment, will certainly return

Location is superb, very clean well presented establishment, very quiet on a night, no traffic noise and great selection of drinks! plenty of seating in the bar area and a nice relaxed atmosphere

We arrived early as we had a meal booked in Newcastle, we mentioned this upon booking the hotel that we needed an early check in, it wasnt ready, that was fine as we were leaving the hotel for a meal, we returned at the stated check in time and the room still wasnt ready for 40 mins! Free glass of champagne as a sorry for the inconvenience

Superb experience - exceptional room, great breakfast, helpful and pleasant staff - top quality!

The room was fabulous, high ceiling, bath and washbasin in a recessed area, with an ensuite shower room as well, beautifully presented. Hotel du Vin's usual excellent bed, breakfast etc. Superb!

Location and the staff .

The rooms are old and tired and feel gloomy , definitely in need of a refurbishment! The bar and restaurant area are great! But the rooms are bad! They feel clean and housekeeping are doing best!

A wonderful anniversary stay

We had the most amazing time for our wedding anniversary at Hotel du Vin. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay memorable with complimentary cocktails and sparkling wine. We also received a room upgrade to a suite which had a freestanding bath which felt very luxurious!

Only the tiniest thing, but we found the beds ever so slightly uncomfortable. Everything else was perfect.
