The room came as a bit of a shock but too late to look for alternative accommodation.

On arrival I found out I was to be staying in an out building which was remote to the main hotel. It was not warm and comfortable. The bathroom flooring was flagstones which were rough and cold. Overall not a pleasant experience. Customers should be made aware of this before booking.

As above - some other minor issues such as no glass in room or bathroom. No chair or sideboard onto which clothes etc. could be laid out. TV was old and remote control a little erratic. Food in bar was pretty good.

Awful - extremely disappointing.

Very disappointed. Stayed two nights. Staff chose to throw away items we hadn't finished with - my partner's razor was binned. TV remote was extremely temperamental. Breakfast on both days was very poor. Staff had no interest in making sure we had everything we needed. Had to go and find someone on the second day to get a coffee refill. First day breakfast was ok, second day it was a shambles. Of the 8 in our group only one was given a sausage with their breakfast! The large mushroom served on the first day had become half a mushroom on the second day. Toast was inedible. Tried to call reception twice to discuss the issues - phone was not answered. Everything looked gorgeous on the website, but the reality was very different. Wonder if Booking.com customers don't get the same treatment as those who book directly?

Lovely stay

This was my second stay at Horsley Lodge - as I had enjoyed my first stay so much. Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was lovely - clean, spacious and comfortable - it was really nice to be able to have a bath rather then just a shower - which seems to be the normal these days. My friends and I had afternoon tea - which was lovely, we also ate in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast the next morning. The food on each occasion was lovely. Would be very happy to stay again and very happy to recommend.
