The Hilton Leeds City is praised for its central location, clean rooms, and excellent service. Guests enjoyed the tasty halal food at the restaurant and found the staff to be accommodating and attent (Read More)ive. The only criticisms were related to the small car park and tight exit ramps. Bedromms needs. refurb 925. Cold bedrooms. No GB new on TV. Lack of choice of breads at breakfast, no Weetabix. 3 star hotel, not 4 star.

Good value for money and good location

Location was excellent for shops and bars , breakfast was nice but coffee machines werent working properly

Got overcharged for drinks on the second night , same drinks as night before but charged a lot more . Bar staff werent very helpful in resolving the matter so had to speak to the hotel manager next morning

The hotel was lovely and clean and in a great area. The bathroom in our suite was spacious and the bath was huge which really gave a luxurious feel to the room. Breakfast was beautiful and plenty of options. Hotel staff for the most part were very friendly and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

There wasn't much light in the suite, only a lamp at one end of the room and LED reading lights by the side of the bed. This made the room very dark. Additionally, we tried ordering room service from the menu in our room - after 10 mins of trying to get through on the room service line, we called reception instead who sounded quite annoyed that we had phoned them. They then proceeded to put the phone down quite abruptly when we asked if we could speak to someone regarding room service. This was unfortunately very disappointing customer service. If room service was not available, this should have been stipulated on the menu in our room instead of advertising hours that it was clearly unavailable - we wouldn't have planned for room service if this was the case. However, the reception staff at check in and check out were very helpful and friendly. Additionally, when we went to the hotel bar for drinks there was a corporate christmas party on in one of the suites; the 'manager?' of the company kept telling us to leave the bar so that it could be closed and the staff could attend to the party - this resulted in us leaving the hotel and having drinks elsewhere. However I would like to add that the bar staff tried to handle the situation very professionally and we were able to have a drink in the bar on our return to the hotel. Advice for future christmas parties/events: ensure there is enough staff to cover the party to eliminate the need for party members to spill in to the hotel bar and make guests feel uncomfortable for wanting to be served by bar staff.

Staff friendly and room very comfortable

We were upgraded to the King suit due to issues in our room which was lush.

We always stay twice a year and expected the pool to be open which was disappointing knowing this is now closed due to cost.

Lack of hygiene

The lamp in the room kept turning its self in and off and it was ripped at the side the sheets were not clean my daughter found a hair on her pillow the toilet bins were full and the toilet wasnt cleaned it was not worth 222 pounds
