Noisy, poor service, good breakfast

Very noisy. Housekeeping is noisy. Construction above my room, that I was unaware of when I booked, started at the crack of dawn. Hard to get in touch with front desk. Also No one mentioned the $75 pet fee. Not once. Listing just said there may be a fee..Or mentioned that they also hold $75 for incidentals when you check in, which I was quickly refunded after trip. BUT there was another $75 charge. I called lady said it was for pet fee. Told her NO ONE bothered to mention that, not even when I checked in and the clerk told me my total for the room, which was same as when I booked. I asked to speak to manager. She said she would have them call. That was 3 weeks ago. Also noticed the elevator service certificates were expired. Best thing about this place is the breakfast and its clean. Poor customer service. But close to the beach. Meh.

The cones in the street cause roads are going to be expanded but that doesn't have anything to do with hotel.

I was good other than the fact that they did not change the breakfast at all in all the days we were there. The people that worked the front desk the 1st night we came in were slow to come to the front desk. One night there was no one at the front desk.

Customer service goes a long way

Location was great and the hotel was clean and the breakfast was awesome

Staff. I booked and payed for a KING. I got checked in and went to my room and it was DOUBLE. NOT WHAT I WAS PAYING FOR. No one had the courtesy tell me they changed my room until after I came back to complain. It was changed due to being sold out. Check it is at 3. I checked in between 3-4. So am I to assume I'm the last person to check in that paid for a KING. This was very unacceptable and I have never experienced it. The staff was unapologetic and even insisted on or she did cancel only to put it back. Another guest who checked in mere minutes before me experienced the same thing, and he was given his King Room. The staff should have better customer service skills. There is something as a courtesy call or at least explain to me before you send me to my room. Strange thing is when I tried to check in on the app I was given a king room and I was outside in the car but I couldn't remember my Hilton password. So just that quick they had no KING ROOMS. It was for my fianc birthday and we had reservations to a place in 2 hours and I didn't want to be late.
