The Great Victoria Hotel offers comfortable rooms, great breakfast, and a convenient location near the railway station and attractions. However, one guest had a disrupted stay due to loud music from (Read More)a tribute act. Another guest praised the staff, food, and provided an electric heater for missing radiators. A couple had a wonderful wedding experience with attentive staff, delicious food, and beautifully decorated rooms. Overall, the hotel receives high praise and a perfect score from satisfied guests.

Very good

Overall, a nice place to return to after busy festive days with family. Cosy, quiet and relaxing.

Room was a good size, bigger than expected. Lots of character. Great breakfast with lots of options, and staff were very friendly. Good that this central city hotel has parking.

Room was very cold as radiators heating did not turn on. Reception was very helpful and sent up a fan heater straight away which worked a treat. Other areas of the hotel were well heated. I was surprised to learn of the requirement for a 50 per night holding deposit when I arrived, I don't recall being made aware of this before hand. So I did that via card at check in and luckily had that money available. Still awaiting that money to be released back to my bank (I am currently 5 days post checkout).

Disappointing

Not value for money poor food cold rooms and disgusting

Location as family emergency

Cold room needed to ask for a heater. Breakfast cooked items lukewarm. Second day ordered an omelette. Crispy over cooked. This place needs to sort its food out. Main menu been the same for three years!! Think it trys to be more than it is.

Disappointing

Lacks quality poor food not worth the money

The location

Had to move rooms three times. Room cold need to ask for a heater. Had requested months in advance room not facing bus station this was not done. Breakfast was lukewarm warm Then Christmas main meal was frozen potatoes n yourkshire pudding. Ved raw!! Was vile. Spoilt Christmas. It good be such a lovely place but lacks quality. The no cash is also a new thing they take an extra 50 on our card on arrival. Then refund it 5 working days later!! This is not mentioned in booking.

Hotel was OK, be warned everything is by card payment in the hotel and they require a extra 50 payment on arrival which gets refunded after checking out

Shower did not drain which flooded shower room and soaked everything.

Overall wasnt happy we left extremely early

Once we got located to another room it was nice but the bath had a cig burn on covered by a towel and definitely dont get what it says it says theres water available there was none

The jr penthouse the first room we got put into the bath wasnt even working we could of got the same on a double room booking
