Relaxing new years break with family

The property was located centrally and it was easy to get a taxi or walk to central square. The spa was really good!

The breakfast options were the same everyday, a variety would be good. Otherwise there was nothing bad about the hotel.

Great staff, excellent location, facilities and views to match

Location was great, facilities and views were exceptional and staff were polite and attentive.Buffet breakfast was fantastic with superb views to match.

The shower looked fantastic however once on, literally would spray water everywhere, water would pool and the condensation would soak everything.

Avoid at all cost - Total discrimination and un-professional staff

Location

Our stay was marred by a series of disappointments, leaving an indelible mark on what was supposed to be a cherished family holiday. The most disheartening aspect of our visit was the treatment we received from your staff. Regrettably, our encounters with the concierge team were characterized by hostility and discrimination. On two separate occasions, we found ourselves embroiled in conflicts with young staff members who not only displayed a shocking lack of professionalism but also seemed to favor guests based on their ethnicity. This discriminatory behavior is not only unacceptable but also goes against the very principles of hospitality that the industry should embody. The spa and pool facilities, touted as amenities to enhance our relaxation, became sources of frustration. The pre-booking requirement for pool and sauna use is impractical for holidaymakers who seek spontaneity. Worse still, the limited swimming hours for kids further compounded the challenge of enjoying these facilities as a family. The misinformation provided by spa staff about availability added to our disillusionment, questioning the integrity of your service. Our arrival and departure experiences were equally disheartening. The absence of assistance with our luggage upon arrival and departure contradicted the standard of service we expected from a brand like Hyatt. During check-out, when asked about our stay, the lack of genuine concern and follow-up from Sophia at the reception exemplified a disregard for guest satisfaction. It is disconcerting to witness such indifference, especially when compared to the warmth and attentiveness we have come to associate with the Hyatt brand. As long-time patrons of Hyatt, the stark contrast in our experience at Grand Hyatt Athens was truly disappointing. The management needs to conduct a thorough internal audit to address the evident shortcomings in service delivery.

The staff responsible for lobby restaurant and breakfast: extremely polite, helpful and friendly!

The hotel pictures the famous meme: Social Media vs Reality - The majority of photos displayed on Booking are of the premium rooms and were taken most probably when the hotel was open. The reality: scratched furniture, torn bedsheets, extremely small rooms. - The biggest fake is the size of the room. We booked a Deluxe King Room (that on Booking is advertised as 35 m2) and got a student room of 18m2. We had to talk to 3 persons at the Reception to get finally an upgrade of 32 m2. - The breakfast is limited to the same things every morning and of poor quality (e.g. a 5* Hotel of such a big chain can offer better tea or butter; needless to say about olives!) - The hotel faces a highway and if you are lucky to get a room with a terrace, the noise will kill your peace. - The gym is extremely small - The SPA (pool and sauna) can be used be a limited numberof persons and nobody can enter it without prior appointment - The area is surrounded by night clubs and sex shops

Cleanness are very poor. Desk service also.

Service in the bar was excellent. All were very pleasant and hospitality . They did my new year day. The salad was tasty. Thank you all. Pool chlorine was very high. Breakfast not used. Room service not used.

Cleanness are very poor. In room was a lot of hairs and dirt on the floor. I like to walk in socks. The white socks threw away. They turned black. The mold were in every corner. Rubbish, dishes were put on floor all around the hallways during full day. Nobody take out them. Service on Desk. I enter your hotel at 11 am. Checked in was at 3 pm. I know that in "Opera" is service "Queue", my name was written there. Before 3 pm I set in the restaurant. Nobody offered me to use it before checked in. I found it myself. A lot of people who enter in the hotel after me, were checked in before me. Explanation was "We couldnt find you ". For what you asked me phone number? for not use it? Thank you.
