Guests had a wonderful two-night stay at the Golf View Hotel & Spa, praising the comfortable and spacious room. The hotel's welcome to their dog in the bar was appreciated, allowing them to enjoy mea (Read More)ls together. The location was ideal for beach walks. The food was high quality and reasonably priced. The gorgeous pool and spa were highlights, and guests found the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout their stay.

Disappointing

Too expensive for what its worth. Wont stay again.

Location, seemed cozy Food was average

Staff rushed to kick us out of the room . Service at the restaurant was slow. Water pressure in the bathroom was very low. The room the carpet in the room was not clean and it had big stains.

Good

The sea view room was very comfortable. Nice touch with the radio playing quietly when you arrive. Super king bed and nice linen. No bath, only shower, but bathroom was nice. The Lounge is comfortable and the restaurant was very nice. Our meal was decent, not fine dining, but a decent notch or two above very good pub food. The spa and pool are very very good. The water temp was very warm and there was a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi.

Breakfast was a little underwhelming. Many of the staff were young and I felt a little inexperienced or perhaps lacking in a little training. I recognise that finding and keeping staff is hugely difficult and so training them can feel like an endless task but I feel the younger, newer staff would benefit from some coaching. The winter prices are not cheap and so I think for those rates you can and should expect high quality service. If I were to be really picky the signage downstairs for getting around the spa is a little bit confusing and unclear.

A car accident won't help change the date! !!!!

We had an emergency car accident, and they would not move through the day for us even though it's an option on the site. I paid 190 where I managed to turn up after 11::30pm. The cleaning lady tried to come in befre 9am. I would of rather stayed at home and burned 190 for the room! Never going back ever. It was supposed to be a nice break we never got to use the5 facilities such as the spa or other things. Because I arrive so late with an injury of the car accident which was completely ignored from the staff and the website.

Has potential to be very good.

Great location right by the coast. Lovely spa with a variety of treatments. Good selection at breakfast.

Lacked attention to detail eg taps and water flow into bath completely wonky, tv in bathroom showed upside down screen in Chinese only, scruffy furniture which could do with some attention. Staff in restaurant/dining room very hit or miss - seemed the younger members could do with much staff training - older members were a bit more engaged.

Exceptional

Fantastic classic hotel

The room was superb. Beautiful room with fantastic amenities such as lovely coffee, tunnocks tea cakes, robes, slippers and body cream. The Golf view Gazette was a great touch and the classical music playing in the room.

Hotel requires some upgrading!

Our rooms were located next door to each other

Felt it was run down. Shower fell off the wall and nearly landed on foot. Had it landed on foot it would have been a hospital visit. Service on restaurant was shocking.
