The Fives Hotel DNP has decent, spacious rooms but some face the carpark and lack good views. The water pressure in the showers is weak and the cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement. However, th (Read More)e hotel's location is convenient for nearby travel. Overall, the hotel is better than expected with clean rooms and a pleasant smell. The lack of soundproofing can lead to noise from outside, but the hotel itself is quiet. The lack of slippers and water is acceptable considering the cheap price. The hotel is near eateries and KSL, with excellent service from the front desk and housekeeping staff. Beware of noise from drunk guests and rowdy patrons at the nearby coffeeshop. Avoid the Thai grocery store due to unclear pricing. The rooms are suitable for families with young kids and require a refundable deposit. The hotel is basic but offers great rooms, convenient location for food, and good service from most staff members.

Very good

V spacious and clean inside the room but once you walk out, the exterior is scary.

The dark scary car park n lift is dirty n shared with a shabby building which otherwise felt half abandoned.

The air conditioner is not working. I tried to call maintenance, but there was no ringing tone. However, since I only stayed for one night, I just endured the heat.

Surprisingly nice

Room was nicely furnished and looks well maintained. The exterior of the building may make you question your choice but the room will ease you. Basics are all provided for in the room. Room was upgraded without charge. There are 3 marts below for your convenience. Parking is free for guests at L5/6, rooms are at L3 & L4 (3A), front desk at L2. Front desk were helpful and friendly. Additional RM50 cash deposit refundable after checkout.

The ramp of the carpark is a bit tight so be careful when you drive up. It is situated in a mostly Thai influenced area with a club, massage place, eating establishments (almost like Golden Landmark) but it was peaceful and not too loud or seedy at all. So some may not like such areas but others might be fine with it. For halal food, you can walk about 5 minutes to Banafe Village.

Clean comfortable hotel near Thai food stalls. This are is the little Thailand of JB.

Noise level from the clubs, traffic and neighboring apartments. Room is dusty and has poor ventilation.

Very good

The room is super spacious and very clean. Housekeeping was done daily for my 4 days stay there. It was easy to get grab cars as well.

There is nothing much around the hotel (halal wise) although you could walk to Bonafe. I also feel like it could get noisy at night. I could hear people screaming and dogs barking from outside of the hotel.
