Perfect stay for an unforgettable bday!

22-25 November 2023. Me and my husband had a wonderful experience at this B&B! The location was fantastic, right in the city center, the cleanliness of the place was impeccable, the breakfast options were also great, with a variety of choices from sweet to savory. The host, Fatima, was amazing and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. To my surprise, she even prepared a birthday surprise for me! She spoiled me with sweet treats left in my room after they tidied it up and she also would leave delicious snacks and herbal teas for the guests to enjoy in the afternoon. The only downside was that the hotel is located on the 4th floor without an elevator, so it's more suitable for those who don't mind a little exercise. Other than that, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this B&B for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great location and a stone's throw from everything downtown. Nice little square downstairs to watch the world go by. Delicious brekkie and afternoon treats in the lobby and left in your room, and lovely staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

The only thing are the stairs to the property - we knew this and if anything it burnt off a pastel de nata or two, but be aware you'll need to climb four flights every time you get home.

Wonderful place for the price with a great view and helpful staff.

Staff were very helpful and kind, and we appreciated the little gift of wine on the day 2 of our stay! Breakfast was nice and simple with delicious scrambled eggs made fresh upon request. Our room was spacious and clean, with an amazing castle view out of our window.

I could not imagine a more perfect location or nicer rooms.

The room was excellent, we had booked one with a small balcony and the room was much bigger than expected. It was actually two rooms, one with the bed and a cupboard and one room with a little sofa and a desk. It was so nice to have the extra space. There is coffee and hot water for tea out all day along with cake and biscuits. The wonderful staff often left a little surprise like chocolates or some porto wine in your room too. The breakfast was simple but tasty with everything you might want. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is really amazing, within walking distance to lots of stuff and it was not noisy at night which was a nice surprise.

If everyone staying went for breakfast at the same time it was a little crowded but we were not in a hurry so just came back a bit later when some people had finished. I did not mind at all but you do have to go up 4 flights of stairs to get there.

Overall - we loved the location / staff / and coziness of rooms. Would book again.

Breakfast was great. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They decorated our room for anniversary - complimentary sparking wine and treats left in room at night. All amazing and generous! Location was perfect. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend.

2 negatives to mention. The stairs / lack of elevator is a negative. We knew this when booking- but even though it says its on the 4th floor - it really feels like 8 flights of stairs. We were used to it by the end of our stay, but they are a doozy. Our room had a bit of sewage odor to it. Again you got used to it after being in the room, but noticed every time we entered it. This might be typical for older buildings in the area - but worth mentioning.
