Nice hotel shame about the pool use

Wanted to use the facilities but only option was 25.00 for three hours. I wanted a swim thats it and was not allowed. I was thinking of joining the gym and pool as not far from where I live . I wont now based on my visit

Fantastic hotel for a Christmas party, very elegant, great food, lovely staff,

We were here for a Christmas dinner a group of 20 and we stayed the night. I must say the food was exceptional probably the best service and presentation for Christmas. The pre drink and canaps on arrival were a lovely treat. DJ was ok I found the room way too small but didnt impact on our evening. Staff on reception very friendly especially the gentleman. Lovely bar area for pre dinner drinks. We will definately visit again.

It was only a slight niggle however we were slightly gutted there were no Christmas crackers or hats. Dont get me wrong the gift of sweets was such a lovely touch however we missed our party hats lol. The other comment was on the first floor at 9am as we stayed the night could be heard very loudly a cleaner saying (I dont know why I bothered coming in at 9am) Im assuming it was because no one was out of there rooms then to be cleaned. I would say also at Xmas its not very easy at all getting a parking space we arrived at 3pm and it was rammed.

Beyond expectations (except for the wifi)

The free WiFi was poor. I tried to do a Zoom meeting in my room but we gave up as Internet unstable. Did not realise I could pay for Internet. Would not expect to have to do this nowadays....

Prearrival information and contact was very good Spa facilities were very good free parking and tea facilities in the room were good

One of our three rooms the heating did not work which led to a very cold sleepless night Somebody else's bar bill was included on our bill when we checked out - we do not drink alcohol! Waiter for lunch was rude to one of my friends when asked about portion size.

Clean nice room but wont stay again

Central and clean

I booked because of the pool but couldnt believe after spending 500 i had to pay to access the pool. I was told they had a complementary visit at 8 oclock only to look at the pool which was empty. WiFi was terrible it kept dropping out.
