Guests loved their stay at Club House Hotel & Restaurant in Scotland. They appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms with lovely views, and cozy sitting areas by the fire. Instead (Read More) of going out, they enjoyed a cheese plate and wine on-site. The hot breakfast was also a highlight. Overall, they didn't want to leave and highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday experience.

Not a bad place to stay if only requiring a sleep. Lack of lights to rear very dangerous

It was a last minute booking as were staying at another hotel. It was close to the hotel we were going to so that was good. The price was also good and maybe that was bettered because there was no breakfast available.

It was reasonably basic with no frills. The bed was acceptable and the room was acceptable based on the price. The kettle did not work properly and would not turn off when boiled. We would have mentioned this to staff, but the reception was not manned in the morning and the front door was lock closed when we left at about 10:15ish. The big issue was the outside lights. We were in a room at the rear and when at the rear there were no lights along the walk from the rear of the hotel to the door. At the door sensor lights came on. So for a distance of maybe 30 yards there was no lights and it in the evening and morning at this time of year it was dark and you could not see the ground. Very dangerous and if anyone falls, which would be easily done, as there is a step and it is a trip hazard. Lawyers are us spring to mind. The hotel would lose.

I booked the hotel as a surprise for my husband, his friend was flying up for the weekend to surprise him. The boys went out one evening for drinks and got separated. They were only given 1 key and the one with the key went back to the hotel and fell asleep. The hotel closes down at 9pm and my husband couldn't get in as he didn't have a key. The hotel phone number went unanswered and their out of hours mobile number would not connect, saying the number was not recognised. Shocking that a guest cannot gain access out of hours.

We were there for a funeral and the manager / owner? Was so kind to us.

The large bed looked so nice but I spent most of the night on the mattress as the sheet was too small. The bed was far to soft.

Pleased with my room overall and had a good nights sleep.

Good spacious room, excellent bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities good. Heating once found warmed the room well on a very cold night. Would stay here again. Excellent price.

The carpet needed hoovering, several bits on the floor. Pity about the view, a rather dirty untidy flat roof top with empty paper cups thrown around and needed a clean up. It would be good to have a few herbal teas for night timea bonus!

Great Bed, very nice room, bit in need of a little tlc in places but happy with room lots of space, with the dogs it was handy being out the back in the annex

Check-in slot was 3 to 4 we arrived around 3.30, no staff on site. All numbers were unanswered. a pleasant member of staff arrived to open bar around 4.15 but had no access to reception, but he did manage to get ahold of someone who could send someone with access, we got checked in over an hour after arriving. The management were disappointed in our experience and did try to make up for it with a meal. Also when we booked there was no mention of additional charge per dog which was 25 per dog(a RIDICULOUS AMOUNT) making an additional 50, when I indicated that I was unhappy with this! It was reduced to 25 as a goodwill gesture. This location seems to be run (at least in the winter) with a skeleton staff. When I went for a pre-booked lunch in the bar, I sat in the bar for 20 minutes before anyone turned up. As a suggestion they could be doing with a couple more lights out back? It's very dark until the light at the annex kicks in. It's a shame really as it's a nice wee hotel and obviously has potential, unfortunately it's just not being realised at present.
