The Central House Inn in Bar Harbor is a charming and centrally located inn. The rooms are cozy and clean, with comfortable beds and well-appointed bathrooms. The innkeeper is friendly and welcoming, and there are nice amenities like freshly baked cookies and a coffee bar. The only downside is that some rooms may be noisy and lack dark curtains. Perfect inn in Acadia. Can't go wrong.
Super comfortable inn. More air BNB style, just walk in which I actually really liked. They were able to accommodate late arrival which I appreciated. Very nice lobby with a coffee machine, and added snacks in the morning. We played a boardgame over a couple beers in the evening and it was absolutely lovely.
Noise carries a lot, and people seem to be asleep early. Little noise doesn't bother me, and no one complained about us, but felt conscious of our footsteps when walking up and down stairs.

It was a great getaway and we had the quiet there we needed to degauss.
We really like how centrally located our Inn was to all the shops. The Room was clean and towels fluffy! The Host was friendly and there to answer any questions with a smile.
The rainy weather that weekend. Oh well.

Proximity to everything. Quiet and quaint. Clean facilities and was very cozy. Very comfortable bed.

Great location and very friendly and warm hosts. Homely touch with freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. Great coffee and tea facilities after a day of exploration. Situated in the center of town close to everything

Good value for money in a great location
The location is perfect, just a few steps from the centre of town. Check-In is easy and facilities such as hot drinks, fridge, ice, silverware etc are all excellent. Parking is free and housekeeping is done daily :-)
Room 202 is spacious but has no wardrobe or hanging rail, so nowhere to unpack your clothes. The TV seems to be unnecessarily complicated and so difficult to find local news broadcasts.

Perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere downtown with no problems. Host was very accommodating. He quickly fixed our issues with the heater in our room and was very knowledgeable about the town. Coffee was available in the parlor and parking was great. Refrigerator was available for personal items.
We felt like the bad kids stuck in the attic (Room 305). 2nd floor staircase was very narrow and hard to navigate. The bed was not really comfortable and a mantel for the headboard was cute, but very uncomfortable for reading in bed.
