Heating. The fireplace was not functioning. Luckily I had packed a hot water bottle with me else I would surely catch a cold.

Good

This facility got the job done. It provided us with the inexpensive place to stay that was in downtown Carmel.

We like the location and we like that it is quiet and clean.

Our toilet clogged and no one came by to fix it we had to. We had to track them down. Also there are a lot of rundown parts to the facility like dents in the walls and rundown baseboards.

Pleasant

Charming little bungalows about a 15-minute walk from downtown Carmel. All the usual necessities worked.

Our room had very little natural light (not a problem in the winter, though). The thermostat for the gas heater was "sticky" and didn't want to turn off -- I had to pull off the front cover. The room had two prints of coastal-themed paintings, but oddly, they were of the same painting.

Would not hesitate to stay again.

Cottage room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. It was really in a really quiet neighborhood. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Parking was right next to the room. Easy access to downtown but too far to walk. Our cottage had it's own outdoor fire pit. That was pretty cool.

The cottage needed paint upgrade inside and out. Didn't like the orange bathroom in a small space. Could have been brighter. The only two pictures on the walls were the same. Pretty boring, especially in such a nice setting.

Our room was a clean and comfortable stay with the perfect location for all the local activities.

I loved the location. It wasnt in the heart of Carmels downtown but right around the corner which eliminated parking issues. It was clean and quiet with very little other activity around us. I loved that we had our own designated parking spot. And very good rates for the area. Absolutely would stay there again! All around a great place to stay.

I would say that the only reason I wouldnt give it a 10/10 is just that its a little dated in decor/interior.
