Theres a slope so many taxis do not want to drop you at the hotel when its raining. Also the staff is not friendly at the reception.

Amazing breakfast buffet.... huge rooms ... Great location and private beach ... Good facilities... Accommodating staff...

The check in process was a nightmare... we had specifically asked for a king bed but were given a room with twin beds... it took time to sort it out and we were given a new room... but the room was very far from everything... no lift to get there... you had to take a flight of stairs then a lift and then another flight of stairs and a walk to get to the hotel lobby. The rooms while very nice and spacious could have used a bit more maintenance.

Everything we got makes this hotel too expensive

The lobby is so beautiful. The family room that connect 2 rooms together is good for us. Their private beach is very fantastic in the evening.

We pay more for the seaview room. But the room we got is so disappointing as there are a lot of tree. The hotel policy about water. There are only 2 bottles of water daily as complimentaly. While other 5 stars hotel give us unlimited.

Nice location and a hotel that has a lot of potential to be better.

Room was lovely with fab views (we were upgraded), pool area is great and the beach is also really nice. It is a beautiful setting in a quiet area of Phuket. Hotel offers a free, frequent shuttle bus into the local area - only 5mins away but a v steep hill otherwise!

The hotel does not maximise what is has - it is really lacking a bar area and there are obvious places to do this which is such a shame. The property is looking a bit tired in places so could be quite pot luck as to what room you get. It is a big hotel so that does come with quite a bit of noise and a pretty manic breakfast time. Only used it to get changed in for a later check out but the whole gym area is really poor so if thats something youre looking for I would not recommend (rusty looking equipment, no air con and a shower area in major need or a refurb).

Disappointing didnt live up to hype or justify high priced room rate.

Comfortable bed, air conditioning, good breakfast included.

Staff were not capable, couldnt understand, werent helpful. Phone didnt work, couldnt phone out from room, operator couldnt connect or make outside calls, operator redirected to ask reception to facilitate call, reception couldnt place outside (overseas) call, no Internet terminal available - was cut-off from contacting home & family in Australia. Didnt honour confirmed room rate on Booking.com incorrectly stating it is just a quote.

An extremely disappointing experience

The view

We had a terrible experience here. This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star price tag. This was meant to be our 'luxury' get away after backpacking for 6 weeks and was worse than many 3 stars we stayed in. We stayed in a cheaper 5 star hotel in Phuket and received incredible quality and service. - on the three occasions we used reception (check in, once for information and check out) you are not greeted by staff or asked to wait for a moment. They are never available and walk past you and do not aknowledge you. This is not a 5 star experience. - in our room, there were rips in our sheets, ants coming out of the plug sockets and lizards in the bathroom (we did not leave the balcony door open at any point). The bathroom toiletries were not all present and we had to request a replacement. - they monopolize water on site. The only hotel in our 6 week stay that doesn't allow you to fill your water bottle and charges for water at every opportunity. They give you two bottles per day and they were not automatically refilled on our second day. - the beach is extremely rocky and hard to walk on. Even after swimming about 30 feet out from the beach at high tide, we were still kicking massive rocks that were jutting up. The picturesque beach that is portrayed in the photos is not what you get. The beach beds though plentiful were covered in sand, rocks and big ants. We left the beach after one swim and we tried out 3 different beach beds and did not return. - the price of food was at least 3 times more than average in South East Asia with sometimes worse quality. It was also significantly more expensive than the other 5 star we stayed at. Once again, the staff were variable on how they dealt with you. Sometimes you got a speedy service, sometimes you spent ten minutes waiting to be acknowledged. We also had one issue where the lunch buffet was the only option given to us at lunch time.
