Disappointing

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean easy location for us

No hot water in room on arrival in the evening, so could not have a bath or shower. No milk supplied in the room or outside in freezer. Breakfast served only at 9.30am. Much too late. This was not mentioned when booking only when arriving at the hotel. Did manage to get breakfast at 9.00 but really this was a bit late. We nearly had to leave with out the breakfast part of our B&B, which had been paid for.

Convenient for Chatsworth and a real treat!

Well located for Chatsworth House. Room small but high spec. Staff friendly and supportive. Excellent evening meal but menu limited after 18.30 - after when a la carte only.

Improvements to think about: Clothes pegs on room door to help lack of space. Route to dining room entails a step, guaranteed to trip evening after staff warning us!) in dark - probably needs a yellow line on it. Had not taken on board only a la carte menu after 18.30 so limited choice - btu meal really was excellent.

Exceptional

A lovely and warming stay

We had a really very pleasant stay here. The room was very cute and cosy, the bathroom was lovely and extremely modern and both room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The breakfast in the morning was also amazing. The hotel is in a great location for Chatsworth house and Bakewell. Overall very happy with our stay.

The only very minor criticism would be that there was something on the ceiling giving off a green light which was a massive shame as the room would have been pitch black at night otherwise but its minor as the stay was very nice.

Overall 9/10, really enjoyed our stay but would likely look for an alternative for dining in evening

Friendly, helpful staff, excellent facilities and decor as advertised. Great breakfast in the morning. All in all excellent

Bar menu is too limited, and we were disappointed with the selection and the small plate options. The quality and presentation was great but value for money and choice are limited for meals and light bites. Needs to expand as it was the only downside of our stay and a complete contrast to the excellent breakfast offered the following morning!

Loved our stay, would recommend

The people who run the business are fantastic. Loved waking in the room upstairs with the windows open listening to the wind in the trees enveloped in soft beautiful sheets. Could have stayed there all day!
