Superb
Airbnb like stay at a fair price
More like an airbnb, used the microwave (in common space) to heat the leftovers from the dinner. A 24 hr diner is within 5 minutes walking distance. Big bathroom, a nice lighted decent sized room with blackout curtains to keep the midnight sun away. The host Danny was friendly, he even helped me with one of my suitcases up the flight of stairs (all rooms are upstairs).
A bit congested/narrow alley way outside the rooms. Not much around the area in terms of restaurants, grocery stores, shops etc. Did not affect me much as I was staying the night there just to catch a morning flight the next day.

Pleasant
Popular days in Fairbanks so rooms were at a premium, so best value I guess.
Location, two separate bedrooms, security.
Pillows, the single 1 tablespoon sized bar soap, and for two people, for two days. Extra set of towels would have been nice, or at least the offer.

Passable
Large, comfortable room, but noisy
Large room with private bathroom, kindstaff/owner. Outside downtown Fairbanks but there was a bus stop close to the building and you could easily walk to the center in about 20 mins. Close to "Pioneer park" (a little over 10 mins walk ?)
The hotel is next to an intersection of roads with traffic lights. I liked visiting Alaska/Fairbanks but I don't know what's wrong with the car owners there: many cars have some kind of modified exhaust systems so when they accelerated when the light turned green it really made a LOT of noise, like a main battle tank is passing by (and I know how that sounds). so, until late at night it made getting to sleep difficult. After a few nights I got a bit frustrated about that. Then one of the windows was covered with a blanket and the other looked out on a veranda so the room was always a bit in the dark.
