Convenience is added with a petrol station below and shopping centres are within walking distance or a short drive away. Overall, a highly recommended resort for a beach getaway.

Umdloti is a friendly peaceful place, and our stay at 515 was a great intro to the area.

The balcony is a great size, with good views of the ocean. As a surfer, this was essential in order to know what the waves were doing every day. They provided a large and small cooler box which we thought was a nice addition and came in very handy when we spent an afternoon at the braai area. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and cooking ware. Bed was comfy and having supersport to watch the Comrades was a plus. Apartment is walking distance to all restaurants and it's a short drive to the incredible Spar up the road at the shopping complex. The guards on duty were all so friendly and efficient. Best restaurants - Manta Cafe for more formal. Beach Shack - casual affordable dining.

We would've liked to have been provided with at least a hand towel. The letting office did mention that no towels were provided, so we brought our own hand towel and towels. It was a bit strange though. We also brought our kitchen towels. If you're flying - that's a pain.

Didnt have any towels in the room and the key tag never worked so we had to wait for someone to open for us everything we went in and out the complex.

The location and the view

The TV signal was poor , did not work for most of my stay. . It's quite a walk up if you don't want to use your car to get to the beach. I am reasonably fit, but found the walk up the driveway steep. No generator , so if you're on the fifth floor then that's walking up or down. Pillows were horribly stained and kept popping out of the cases .

515 December Holiday 2022

What an amazing stay.. Staff at Umdloti Letting were extremely helpful when the fridge packed up on arrival and replaced it straight away. Already looking at booking a bigger unit for December 2023. Unit was perfect, well equipped and bigger than I expected. Perfect sea view. Being central to all the restaurants, beach front and Spar as well as the newly built mall and it's restaurants and clothing stores are also very convenient on especially on rainy days.

Being the animal lovers we are, we gave a slice of bread to a monkey that came and sat on our balcony (perfectly normal thing to do for people not from KZN) and was attacked by a local resident in a very rude way screaming at me not to feed the monkeys, my husband had to eventually tell him to back off and we heard him the first time, to stop his attack on me. No signs nor any other disclaimers around the complex warn holiday makers to not feed them. Something I suggest should be done to make holiday makers aware and to also reduce the rude and unnecessary attacks on holiday makers by rude residents.

We enjoyed our quiet time away from the demands of life in this perfect little getaway. Everything was just perfect. Located close to shops/restaurants. Stunning seaviews. Friendly hosts. Very clean and tidy unit. Everything worked perfectly
