Staying at Zebra Hostel was the low point of our three week family trip in India. The bathrooms were smelly and unclean.

It was in a good location near Varkala Cliff There was a lovely man at reception but we could not converse with him in English

rooms were not clean, were with dirty smell,very hard bed with odd blanket,water stopped in the midnight , light was keep blinking... totally not satisfied with stay. People who received was not at all pleasant..

Beautiful must visit property to stay nearby beach area

Beautifully built hostel with the required amenities. Host was gracious. It's a must visit property since its only 5 mins walk to varkala beach and 15 mins walk to black sand beach. Perfect hostel vibes

The staff and location are amazing. Such a peaceful environment! As a solo traveller from Pune, they had my journey perfectly sorted. They clued me in on the best cafes, tasty food, hidden places, and cool activities like kayaking, mangrove ride. The fishing with Peersa was a highlight! . The most interesting fact is that I even teamed up with the staff to whip up some delicious Kerala food, including a killer karimeen fry.

Thanq zebra for an adipoli staycation

Had an awesome time at Zebra Hostels super affordable, spotlessly clean. Working from my laptop as a tech nerd, the 4-bed dorm was just perfect. The staff is super friendly. Definitely suggest these hostels for other folks working remotely!

On my solo trip, my stay at this hostel exceeded my expectations. The peaceful atmosphere and abundant greenery at Zebra Hostels offered a beautiful experience. What truly stood out was the value for money I opted for a non-AC dorm, which turned out to be comfortable and clean. The staff was exceptional, demonstrating extensive knowledge and offering valuable assistance with local activities. Additionally, the presence of Gabi, the adorable puppy, added a unique charm. I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel to fellow solo travelers who are enthusiastic about their adventures!

Poor

They don't understand the concept of a hostel/shared space. Blasting music on loud speaker in the main hall till 12 midnight is not meant for hostel. Poorly maintained property. Hygiene was in shambles. Leaking roof, ants on the mattress the list goes on and on. I would not recommend this as a hostel.

a perfect combination of nature outdoors & western facilities indoors. Amazing host to guide & answer all questions I had. A must recommended stay if you're in town for Varkala Beach, Papanasam Beach, Odayam Beach.
