Waves & Wildlife Cottages Kangaroo Island

Weve been traveling for many years and this has just become our #1 most memorable accommodation weve had. Paul and Katja are very kind and nice hosts, their two cute doggos are very sweet and the highlight is the Kangaroo mob that calls the surroundings their home and are always around. We loved watching them mornings and evenings in between the nature trips, they are very calming to watch grazing and hopping around. Paul and Katja even left a Kangaroo documentary DVD we could watch and learn even more about these fascinating animals. Paul enhances their diet with some barley from time to time and allows the guests to feed them. They are very gentle and curious creatures. What is more the views and sunsets are breathtaking and the location is perfect for exploring the natural wonders of the main part of the island. Take the road through Pardana which uses bitumen (kind of an asphalt). Be mindful that a lot of roads on KI are gravel roads or dirt tracks so if you are too precious about your car think twice.
