Overall great hotel to stay with a family, especially once all facilities are up and running

Really great breakfast buffet and very helpful staff working in the breakfast area. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms and it was modern and nicely decorated with plenty of space. Nice little gadget is the built in chargers in the bedside tables where you can just lie your iPhone on to charge.

Due to refurbishment the gym was closed which we didnt know about. The fussball table didnt have a ball and no ball was available - kudos to our waitress who gave us some aluminium foil that we made into a ball so the kids could play after all. The refurbishment is still going on so you are at times walking through areas of the hotel that are still being completed, though this didnt distract from our stay. Little areas of improvement: water pressure in the shower is low and there is no waste basket in the bathroom, only in the toilet, which is separate.

Ongoing construction, but good hotel

The facilities are very modern - the refurbishment looks great

The hotel was under construction. The bathroom smelled bad because of the construction the first night. I'd say this hotel is going to be very nice once all the work is done - shame I was there when it was still under construction.

I liked the options staff was good

I didnt like that my water didnt work properly when we just arrived the water didnt work until 4 o clock in the morning and i booked the wellness suit guess it was unlucky but not good either the water pressure was low also because of this but the rest was perfect it was just unlucky i guess

Wonderful quality place

The breakfast is the best most complete one my family had ever seen. The room was wonderful but a handbook to know how to use all the electronic devices including the shower water heat would be fantastic to avoid having to ask the staff. The hotel is under renovation but will be wonderful when finished!

Easy check in, easy parking despite the building work.

The room was fine - even with its strange bathroom arrangement (which to be fair was described on the website). We should have chosen an older 'standard Van der Valk' bedroom and not a new, trendy room designed by someone who had (probably) never slept in it.. The meal was disappointing, my wife had the salmon which was fine, my vegetarian dish was completely lacking in flavour - even the pepper sauce the brought at my request was bland. I am not vegetarian, I just chose not to eat meat on that occasion. Big mistake!

The room, the team, breakfast, location

The constructions, the long way from the room to breakfast, the noise from the main road, and the fact that I was staying at the ground floor, the curtain was closed all day because anyone could see me. Breakfast was great, and would be better if there were more Gluten free products, and more vegetables.
