Toprak Apart Otel

- We mentioned in our messages before arriving that it was my husband and I's 2nd wedding anniversary (we actually spent our honeymoon in Finike, Turkey and it was amazing, so thought it would be cute to come back and stay in Antalya this time). Nothing at all was done to mark our special occasion by the hotel which was disappointing (a little towel swan even, would have been nice!) Instead we were scammed by the taxi who brought us from the airport and when we tried to explain to the lady on receptionist, she sided with the overcharging taxi driver. When he switched off the meter in his mirror, (which he's not supposed to do), just before we got to the hotel, it was at 298 lira yet he charged us 500. - There were marks all over the wall in the bedroom, the air conditioner was faulty and there was a bright blinking white light because of it which interfered with trying to get to sleep, unless we covered it (fyi Room 403). There was also a dirty rag left in the bathroom on the floor when we arrived. - They cleaned our room once during our 4 night stay. They roughly made up the beds and left fresh hard towels. They did not change the sheets or remove the rubbish from the room. However if we left rubbish outside our hotel room door, they would remove it so not sure if that's how their housekeeping works there, but it's not something that I'm accustomed too. - The roll of toilet paper wasn't even on the holder when we arrived, luckily I searched the cupboards and found one (Yay!). All in all you basically get what you pay for or less, so don't expect any more than that!

So when I checked in which was at 11 pm, straight away Mr. Abdil- the receptionist, seemed uptight and not very welcoming. I was there just to sleep for the night as I was checking in late and checking out at around 7.30 am in the morning. I booked the hotel via Booking.com, I had requested the hotel days before my arrival, if it was possible to have the breakfast a few minutes earlier as I had to check out by 8 AM. They had agreed very nicely and even promised me that they could even pack it for me. I had seen some comments of some other guests before booking and they had complimented the hotel for being so flexible and understanding. That was the reason I booked them and ofcourse also they offered a good price too. I had also requested them if it was possible to get an iron in the room as I was checking in late and checking out early morning, I knew housekeeping wouldn't be open at that time. I had a business meeting in the morning. They had promised me at first that they can provide the iron in the room. On the day of my check in and travel from Europe, I just thought of reconfirming one more time with them about the iron, he just wrote - "No iron, Sorry". I would have simply not booked with them had they told me that before. Now after checking in , my friend who is a local was kind enough to bring me the iron. At checkin Mr Abdil, was straight outright rude, used phrases like -" give me your passport" etc. No would you please , no thank you , nothing and he sits there as a receptionist in a hospitality industry. I asked him about breakfast to which at first he said not possible before 8 and then when I told him , that I was promised by you or your colleague befofe even making the booking that both iron and breakfast would be possible. Afterwards the most shocking things followed, he gave me room right behind the reception, next to the lobby toilets, I was a bit surprised and smilingly I asked - " here?
