Rural perfection

It was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Lots of nice touches, biscuits, pies and milk left for us. Very informative email recommending nearby places to eat, visit and take away.

beautiful facilities in fantastic quiet area - perfect to escape for a weekend!

The cottage overall was amazing, beautifully decorated and to a high standard, all new mod cons. it was warm upon arrival, nice additions like biscuits and teabags available and fresh towels on the bed. hosts were friendly and polite, although we didnt see them much. the surroundings were quiet, but that was just what we wanted. closeby to York centre, took us 15mins to drive and parked near the hospital then walked the 5mins into town.

these are only personal preferences and not against the facilities nor hosts in any way.. for me, the bed was too firm, iget why it needs to be, but i did wake up a little stiff in the morning. also the shower was warm but nto hot enough.. Again these are personal preferences, as the facilties are fantastic and it would not put me off staying again

Good communication from the Hosts, she told us exactly where everything was and what we needed to do.

The accommodation was immaculate and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The beds were comfy and the whole cottage was so cosy! Only a short drive from the park and ride to get into the city centre with lovely restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!

Clean holiday let in a good location.

Cleanliness and location were excellent.

This holiday let is not outstanding and it shouldnt self-reflect to be luxury. Lacking features for example: sofa cushion was damaged and possibly chewed by a doggie - issue is that this had not been fixed. The bedroom wall had either rising damp or rising salt - again not fixed. Toilet basin flushing issue recognised - again not fixed. Kitchen utilities are a real mix of poor quality items. The host didnt bother to respond to our concern about possible leak in the toilet basin. The holiday let is lacking of any upgraded items such as a big smart tv, Alexa or coffee machine, toiletries etc. - even a number of rubbish bags was insufficient. No comfortable seating available and the bedroom lacking of adequate. Big issue for us was also lack of cleaning items. The floor brush was a tiny one and there were no items to wipe the floor. No cleaning storage - no hoover. Cleaning products provided not sufficient. Ended up buying our own. These should be available for a weeks stay. Lets not talks not recycling organisation that was non excising.

Lovely cottage but not luxury

Nice space and location just as described, little extras were a nice touch sugar,milk,coffee,salt and pepper all the things you forget to bring. Plenty of space for 2 people and our dog. Nicely decorated and excellent cooking facilities

Mould on bathroom tiles, removing cistern lid when toilet wouldn't flush, would be more comfy with king bed. Nothing to sweep laminate flooring. Wouldn't really class as luxury! Never saw the hosts during our 5 day stay. Was unsure where the paddock was for the dog so asked the gardener who told us the front lawn of the main house!!
