Fails to meet the expectations

Cheap. Spacious with a very nice private pool.

Beware if you expect a beautiful view as in the pictures. We trusted the reviews and ended up in a villa with 70% of the views obstructed by unattractive vegetation. Saw another one the next day and it looked even worse. A humble request to change the villa was met by the receptionist laughing at us (fully booked, sure, but why be so rude?). Staffs service is appalling: unable to present the menu for the (really nice!) dinner, late serving pre-ordered breakfast, rushing in to check the minibar early morning. This is an affordable option for a break before or after exploring Kruger but very sadly, the service is nowhere in the proximity of a 5 star property.

Wow, what a place!

The Zarafa is absolutely stunning, the location, the view, the bungalows, the decoration, the bathroom, the private pool with attached terrace, everything matches! The included breakfast and dinner are very good. The owner is also very hospitable and connects with the guests. We were unfortunate with the weather so could not enjoy the pool but would have loved to stay longer. This is a heavenly place to relax so make sure that you also book good weather and at least an extra day to enjoy the place.

Not sure if this was possible, but it would be good if you could choose for the halfboard option on a daily basis. Despite the food being excellent, if we would have stayed longer than 2 nights, then we would have preferred days with breakfast only to be able to try out other local restaurants. But this is a personal preference.
