The Woodland Hotel provided a great 3-day break for two guests in September. They enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and convenient shower facilities. The hotel's proximi (Read More)ty to the promenade was a bonus at a great price. The management was helpful, contributing to a charming experience at this B&B. Guests Clive and Angela highly recommended it for its value and location near the seafront.

Appalling apology for a welcome - I was treated with suspicion!!

Very poor so-called welcome - lots of threats of fines and 40 deposit demanded in case of my possible acts of theft, arson or damage; I am 76 years old !! Poor welcome for a guest from afar !!

The Woodland Hotel

* Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome * nice sized bedrooms * lovely dining area * hot breakfast was nice * value for money

* rooms were on top floor and very cold * could have done with thicker duvet/ top sheet or blanket available * shower wasn't very powerful but was warm enough * bedroom furniture was unstable
