So disappointed in this supposed 4 star place. Not worth

It was extremely clean.

1. Construction noise, loud banging and machinery running until afternoon when we checked in, until 9:30 pm. Turns out, motel was in the middle of a major remodel. River view non existent due to barriers in place. Place smelled. 2. $45 per night parking fee is the only option and there is no off street parking available. 3. Restaurant and bar were short staffed. Dead fish smell permeated the place.

When I arrived to the hotel i checked in and received keys to a room that was dedicated to me and my fianc. However when we opened the door somebody else was in there. Then they apologized and gave us keys to a different room. Although keys to a different room were given when I got to the room, the door was cracked open and never fully closed. This is pathetic the carpet looks ancient, the architecture doesnt even represent the Westin well. Ive stay at the Westin long beach many times, and this sacramento location was a disgrace to the Westin name. If you zoom into the photo attached you can see the door cracked open. Also I still havent gotten my money back even though it was their mistake!

Nice place with agley wall, Parking is valet, and they charge $45 for night. no self-parking spaces.

Nice place to stay

We were on the River side, and it had a nice little deck to sit outside and watch the river. Lots and lots of spiders all over the deck. Luckily, I don't mind them, but most people would not like that. Beds were comfy, had a nice fridge in room. Nice staff too.

My purchase of room stated free breakfast, but when we tried to get it, they said no, it did not come with breakfast. They did give it to us, after showing the receipt stating it. You also must PAY to have your car parked. You cannot park it yourself, so Valet parking is expensive.

Disappointing

We were able to walk to Scotts for dinner and use some amenities at the hotel. Pros: Luckily the pool and hot tub were open and we were able to enjoy those amenities. Lobby was welcoming. Spa was great.

Cons: There were food trays from room service in the hall, looked like it was the same tray from the previous day. Our room was clean, however the bed was very uncomfortable. The construction wall didnt make for a relaxing staycation as we hoped. Paid for a balcony but got to see a large wall and crane. This was a favorite staycation spot for my husband and myself, but looks like the hotel hasnt had any new updates in a while. I.e touching up paint, chips etc
