Very good

Overall nice stay. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The food was delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Location and staff.

Basic amenities could have been better (dental kit, comforter, cold water and curtains/blinds).

The experience was a bit of a letdown. A dusty messy, dishonest one at that.

The location was good. And the staff tried to accommodating and helpful. But on the whole they did not inform us of on-going work at their property. Slashing the prices online or upgrading rooms is not a solution to that. Moreover we were told that the work had to be taken up suddenly. The sheer scale at which repair was going on, it obviously was a planned refurbishment project. Which btw, they really need.

It was my first trip to Jodhpur and Stepwell House did not inform us that more than 60% of the property was under construction (It should have been shared by them, either on the profile or over an email with us. Which meant that we not only lived on the highest floor (which was yet to be repaired), with no access to a lift and steep steps. But we had to walk through mounds of dust, sawdust and floor sheets, workmen before we even reached upstairs. There were no cupboards, tables or chairs in the room. No hangers, no pegs. Which made it difficult for two people to arrange their luggage and clothes. The bathroom had a peculiar smell from the drain and moreover the water wouldn't drain out easily. There were small insects in the room, even though they said they had cleaned it. I had planned my trip right from day 1 with city walks, heritage visits, workshops etc. So it was too late to cancel and move out. Besides they take the amount upfront 2 days before we checkin. They also need to inform people about the accessibility bit, the fact that a taxi cannot reach that doorstep at all times due to narrow lanes. Just a heads-up would have been greatly appreciated.

The bathroom needs renovations, its right by the pool, so I was woken up by kids at 06:30

Aizaaj was good but rest of the staff and service were disgusting

Property is fine at the heart of the city but traveler buses or big cars cant reach there. so you need to come down a kilometer away from the property close to clock tower and take auto rickshaw. It also doesnt have irons, and staff is not very friendly. there is one guy who is quite helping but the guy at rooftop restaurant was worst.

Only one staff member Aizaaj khan was helping as much as he can but the guy at rooftop restaurant, Pratap Singh and his associates are so rude and unprofessional. First they said, we can bring our own booze but have to pay 1000/- to them, when we agreed, they said, its not allowed. After a quite bad experience and long calls, we decided to have the booze and food there only. But worst food ever we could imagine in Jodhpur. We then ordered online from Zomato at late night. Also, first day we tried to check-in early but there was no room available so they suggested to have a paid breakfast. We quite liked the food and paid for it. Next morning the complimentary breakfast was worst. We couldnt eat anything due to bad taste. Then we realized the day before food was from RAAS restaurant which is at the same property and hence the taste was good. They didnt offer anything for that disappointing breakfast. I have never seen restaurants serve freshly quizzed orange juice into fully filled iced glass. It was such a watery juice.

Really great location and fantastic breakfast. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Passable

The location is spot on!! The local shopping market is at walking distance. Don't miss Kadai milk and some local chats. Hotel serves breakfast in there restaurant which has amazing Stepwell facing view.( That was the only Highlight of my stay)

The washrooms were totally dirty and shabby the jet was not working,beds were stinking and the room was unclean. Was totally disappointed with the stay.

The rooms were very small. The bathrooms were not cleaned properly. There is no room service and for the price no amenities like tea coffee in the room. Could have been much better. The staff though was very courteous & helpful.
