Rustic charm in the heart of Jonker

Location was excellent - right in the heart of Jonker. Loved the rustic feel of the place. And clean.

There were hawker stalls set up outside in the evening that made it a bit noisy but not a major issue for us. Would have been great to have a smart TV

Hidden gem! Super cute and warm

The owner Winnie, who is the best host ever with all her recommendations, a really great designer and above all a very warm and loving person. She did a great job in hosting 3 really pretty houses. The Stable is one of them (find more on musanglena.com) The Stable was a home to us. It's an old stable (yup) and you can still see this, but then with some twists of design that are soooo pretty. The house is big enough, has the best soft bed we slept in and is right in the heart of the old city centre. Easily walk within 7 minutes to everything! If you like rustic, old, warm, homey and charm. Then this is your place!

For us everything was perfect! But just so you know, the bedroom is upstairs. Steps are small, so in the night be careful goin down. There are more pictures on her website than on booking. So if you Wanne see more (you will fall in love) go there.

The best thing about The stable is that it is entirely all yours for the weekend. Self check in, self contained, self check out, no need to speak to a single other soul if you so chose. The location is perfect for convenience meets quiet. Right in the heart of things but on the quiet side street, bonus that the block off street to vehicle traffic at night so its much quieter . I love the sloping roof ceiling of the loft bedroom, feels like youre enclosed in a cave.

Amazing stay. Grab a piece of history.

The Stable felt so right and was like we had gone back in time in a good way. Such a lovely stay and so convenient to everything. Looks like nothing on the outside during the day but omg fantastic on the inside. We felt a bit famous as so many people were taking photos of the front and trying to take a peek inside. It was cute. Winnie has done a great job with the decor and we'll be talking about The Stable in years to come.

Was very noisy on the Saturday night as some boys were having motorbike races up and down the street until 1:30 in the morning. Stopped when we confronted them. A few maintenance issues with locks & doors, but these can be easily fixed. I guess the owners wouldn't know about these unless we tell them.
