A lovely place to recharge and relax

The fabulous setting and garden - great design and layout . Immaculate but not fussy - the house is beautifully decorated-but retained a wonderful cosy atmosphere The wonderful frosty view from our balcony on a bright sunny December morning. Amazing and tasteful Christmas decorations.

A very comfortable and relaxing stay in a beautiful setting.

The Old Hall is a beautiful hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The dinner and breakfast were delicious with hot breakfast cooked to order. The room was very comfortable with a good size bed, great tea and coffee (pod machine not instant) and the products in the bathroom were lovey.

Confused that the main door was locked on arrival at 5pm and there is no reception desk but they are working on this.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful location

Fantastic property that felt homely and comfortable. Plenty of communal space to relax and enjoy the open fire. Staff were attentive and friendly. The room was clean, well laid out and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of both my room and the bed as I had booked a single. The food was exceptional and the view over the lakes at breakfast was wonderful.

Everything exceeded my expectations. I haven't a bad word to say about the place or my stay.

A superb place to stay in every respect

A beautifully presented property with immaculately kept grounds. It was exceptionally clean and provided excellent quality linen and towels together with Whit Company toiletries.

A spot of genuine luxury to break up a long journey.

Virtually everything. Beautiful house, beautifully restored and maintained. Great lunch, fantastic views, possibly the most comfortable hotel bed that I've ever used. Staff actually seemed happy to be working there and the level of service reflected that. And it's not often that you see actual hallmarks on the cutlery!

Being really picky here, but a couple of pre-lunch cocktail glasses hung around on the lunch table for a long time, and the red wine glassware was rather thick and heavy given the quality of the wine. Ladies arriving in expensive shoes should be dropped off at the door rather than attempting the walk from the car park which is not as well finished as the rest of the property.

This is a wonderful hotel.

Excellent hotel and decor. High quality throughout and fantastic ambience. Gardens beautiful. Only small gripe was breakfast which could have matched everything else and checkout was convoluted. Room and bathroom outstanding
