The location was amazing right in the heart of York. Great, you could control the heating as it was cold. The place was very clean, a great eat job by staff. J who met us was very helpful and helped with bags.

There was no Internet for 24 hours' wrong password in the information booklet... it took ages for a reply to my question for this to be resolved. Also, there is no microwave in number 3. The beds were hard, and the pillows were so hard I didn't sleep well.

Everything couldn't fault it Sally got me a soft pillow which was lovely. Gave us directions and couldn't fault anything and the cleaning staff do a amazing job to. Can't wait to come back

A hidden gem right in the centre of York. 10/10, very highly recommended.

We stayed at The Mitchell for 2 nights in November 2023, we had the most wonderful time and cannot recommend this property enough. It's located down Fossgate so very, very central yet still quiet when you're in the property you would never know from any outside noise that you're in York center. The property is warm and welcoming, very comfy and cosy and felt like a home away from home. The owners were lovely, replied to any questions we had via messaging and sent detailed easy to follow instructions about location,check in details and parking. They also met us to let us into the property. The property is absolutely beautiful, I would very highly recommended to anyone, the whole booking process has been so easy because the owners are so friendly and reply very quickly. Thankyou for a wonderful stay in York, we will be back
