We always get a warm welcome , the staff are genuinely lovely and do everything they can to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food is excellent and very good value and the location is perfect.

Overall Excellent !

We had a wonderful stay over the Festive Period. Very friendly and helpful staff and a great location. Nothing was too much trouble for Peter (the General Manager). He went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that everyone had an enjoyable stay. We cannot praise him and his team highly enough.

Lake stay

Lovely location at a quaint Inn. From start all staff friendly and hospitable. Unfortunately, weather prevented us from any walking, but the surrounding area looked fab, so will have to return to explore.Food was delicious with a great menu to cover all tastes

Our mattress was rather firm for our taste, so it was not a great night's sleep, but the room was warm and nicely decorated.l

The location was easy to find on the sat nav. Perfect location and stunning views , we arrived early an hour before checkin! But we were able to sit in the bar area and have refreshments. It was still decorated festive and there was a cozy log fire, as we had arrived the day after New Years Day. The weather rained most of the day, sadly. But after heading out to Keswick, which wasnt too far away. We were able to unwind in our cozy warm bedroom and then later in the evening we could relax in the cozy lounge area with log burner with refreshments, from the bar. All areas including bedroom were spotlessly clean, lovely bedding and the bed was very comfortable. We also had stunning views from our window. A lovely choice of breakfast in the morning to suit all needs! Overall, a great overnight stay.

The views from the hotel. The evening meals were delicious. Room nicely decorated. Staff were very helpful.

Full of character & amazing location

Amazing old inn nestled amongst incredible scenery, beautifully furnished, lovely bar & staff, would definitely love to go back!!

Would have preferred carpets in the room to make it feel cosier but thats just personal preference! Our room was right at the top of the stairs with really loud squeaky floorboards in the hall so we got woken up several times really early in the morning by people walking past, would advise asking for a quiet room!
