I was visiting family, so didn't need to use any facilities.

The room was clean.

There was only one radiator, in a quite large room, and the radiator was a long way from the bed, which was cold. There was no radiator in the shower room, only a fan heater high up on the wall, so the bathroom was also cold. The shower door didn't shut properly. There was no towelling mat for the floor. There was no coffee provided, only tea.

Good Base

The two rooms were clean and comfortable, good location with good road links. Surprisingly not noisy considering situated next to the busy A19. Staff were very nice and it was handy having food available in the evening, decent pub grub. Breakfast, go to the Cookhouse which is close by, don't go to the Toby Carvery which is also close. cheaper but not nice.

There is a problem in the loft space with dripping water, it did not effect our rooms but the noise when you are trying to sleep was infuriating.

Very good

Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly. Good location, just out of the city, we used the metro to commute into Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The restaurant offered a good meal in the evening.

The room was a little tired and run down but nothing we didn't expect considering the price.

I never expected from pub hotels something special, but Holystone Bar & restaurant its high standard Let's start with staff Warm and helpful welcoming So polite, friendly I have to ask to stay a bit longer because i have a brakedown and need late check out, so they sorted my request Asking about how it was my car. Did i fix it, or did someone will.come Room Clean warm comfy beds highly recommending really worth it to stay

The hotel of these people are fraudulent people!!!! We arrived there late at 1 am on the not rainy night we didn't find anybody there no reception nobody picked up the phone we stayed outside in the very cold and gave us a code safe for the key but no key we found it. Very very disrespectful!!!! They did not reply to any email any phone... We have to book another hotel very expensive in the rush and costs a lot of money Uber the get another new booking etc. Very very Very very disappointed !!! 2hotel days we pay in vain
