Very good

The room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. There was plenty of cupboard space. The outside area was nice and quiet. The car park was easily accessible and had availability. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was really good.

There was one staff member running the bar and serving in the restaurant; he was run off his feet and understandably had to asked for things and reminded at times. More staff were required. Also, we felt we were rushed to get into the restaurant at the time we had booked (and not allowed 10 minutes grace as we were engaged in conversation with friends); and we were the only ones in there at the time. There was no one available at reception to check us out - so as the room had already been paid for we just left the key card on the desk.

Great location for a stopover and quality at an excellent price.

The quality of the food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. Getting well cooked vegetables and individually cooked breakfasts is a joy. All of the staff were super friendly.

Very good

Fabulous place to stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy with fresh towels etc readily available. Ideal spot for getting to a few other places. Not too far from motorway and places such as Annan and Dumfries.

Room was a little too warm. They have under floor heating. Was a little disappointed in the evening meals. Could have more selection there.

Overall a great stay.

Staff were helpful and considerate though obviously either overworked or understaffed. Meals were fine and fast efficient service.

Overall it was fine for a three star, though the rooms and hallways were tired and in need of a little tlc. 15 pounds for a dog to stay seems a little excessive.

Disappointing

Dirty, neglected, smelly and dangerous. Avoid.

The staff were very friendly.

The hotel is dirty, the hall ways to the the rooms are dirty and carpets need cleaned. The carpets are frayed and dangerously coming apart at the top step of the floor were we on which caused my partner to fall down the stairs. The rooms smell of damp and mould, they are dirty with cob webs and a multitude of broken furnishings, holes in walls, sharp metal curtain tie back, dirty walls, dirty bathroom tiles, toilets that dont flush correctly, low pressure shower water, bathroom shelf falling from wall and a bedroom window which can be opened dangerously wide so that a young child would be able to fall out.
