I had a good stay. I will stay again.

The carpet in the room was dirty. Visibly even with my eye sight. It had been vacuumed but the carpet itself was dirty. It needs to be shampooed. I didnt like the two young ladies watching a movie on their phone at the front desk and when I walked up, it was as though I was a bother. The world of hospitality has fallen off horribly around the world and due this is the time for your staff to shine. One of the young ladies did make an attempt to recover and inquire if my stay was good. The heavier young lady never changed her attitude.

Solid place for a short stay, but in my opinion, not a good value for the money

Stunning grounds. I stayed here while visiting a friend nearby. I used the space mainly to do work during the day and visit my friend in the evenings. The room was clean and well-appointed. On my last day, I got a small coffee and breakfast in the restaurant and the waitress serving the tables was just the sweetest. Her kindness was the highlight of my stay.

For the extreme level of fanciness, I didn't receive much value. Since I'd added breakfast to my reservation, I thought it might be included with room service (save a tip for the staff). It was not. The one day that I did order room service, it was very late and the food/preparation was of low quality. (To the kitchen's credit, someone phoned me to let me know it would be late. I really appreciated this.) Other than the lobby staff and the waitress at the end, several other interactions made me feel like a burden when I asked for coffee and for clarity on the room service. In addition, the room doors had no soundproofing on the bottom, meaning all sounds from the busy hallway flowed into the room, disrupting several work calls. Lastly, in order to enjoy any of the amenities in the spa or massage, you need to pay significantly more. Overall, it doesn't seem worth it to stay here again.

It would have been nice to relax and have a glass of wine while waiting for my room. The bar needs to open by 2 so people traveling that arrive before check in can relax.

the pond and outside of property my son loved the garden. the whip cream is amazing we stayed an extra night just so my husband and son could have whip cream waffles

i wish the staff was more up to speed on what to do with kids in the norfolk area instead of telling me to look at my phone
