Only wish we could have stayed longer ..

The room was spacious, well appointed and had a lovely garden to sit and relax in. It was very close to an array of shops and restaurants. Both the owners are delightful and very helpful when we had a problem.

Very cute Guesthouse with awesome hosts and an exceptional breakfast. A lot of restaurants are in walking distance. We would 100% stay here again!

Extremely relaxing & we were very spoiled & exceptionally very well looked after by Erna & Guido.

Just delicious. The personal touches that Erna did with the little flowers on the food, mint in the water, table decorations, etc etc nothing was too much trouble. The cooked breakfast was always a surprise & delicious. Guido was also a very good host with chatting to us & the other guests & fixing of lights in our bathroom as the bulb had blown. Our room was lovely, extremely relaxing, beautifully clean excellent linen & an extremely comfortable bed. A lovely view out to the pretty garden. We will certainly be going back.

Communication. Because the only number on the Booking .com site was to the land line; no answer went to straight to asking me to leave a message which I did. I did send an email which was responded to very quickly. Also, Erna kindly emailed me the day of our arrival saying our room would be ready & we would be met by Chrissy. A cell phone number would have been useful on the site as an alternative back up.

We had a lovely time in Franschhoek and would happily return to Cottage on 55 in future

Erna and Guido were great hosts. We looked forward to breakfast everyday as it was beautifully prepared and lovely food. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We had a great time !

Great location, memorable breakfasts, wonderful room, amazing hosts.

There was a weather bomb while staying and although Erna and Guido had a flooded business downtown and a flooded garage at their house they were so careful to ensure our needs for food and drink and ongoing travel arrangements were all met. Such lovely caring and friendly people and the breakfasts were amazing.
