Pleasant

Very overpriced pub room with breakfast

Location was central in Stamford

It is a pub with rooms which are. nice but we psid 249 for a room with breakfast which was way too expensive for what we received .The staff were friendlly but seemed to be overworked and the breakfast was nothing special . I have stayed in many hotels this month in Rome Valencia and Villach. ,Austria This was the most expensive and least value for money and certain.y not the best accommodation ..

Quite disappointing.

The location is excellent and the pub has character; bathroom was generally good and staff were pleasant and friendly.Breakfast was also good.

Disappointing. The price we paid was exorbitant for the size of room and facilities on offer. Although advertised as a standard room it was in realty tiny with no wardrobe and only a hook on the back of the door to hang clothes and certainly no room for an easy chair.The decor needed a refresh, there was only one bedside lamp and although the bathroom was good it was difficult to see in the mirror because the light was broken. In addition the communal areas leading to the room were pretty unattractive. This place has great potential but is some way off realising it.

Nice but disappointing

It is a quaint property

The room we were allocated was directly over the kitchen and very noisy. The kitchen noise continued at night with fans giving off a low pitch hum and kitchen staff started about 6am waking us, which did not make for a comfortable stay.

Exceptional

Beautiful warm rooms, excellent food and service was exceptional!

Breakfast was lovely, a selection of muesli, fruit, cream, fresh berries, juices and a lovely traditional English breakfast with local quality produce. Dinner was delicious. The Room was stunning. Service was excellent!

To get to the rooms, we had to go across the courtyard outside, which wasn't too bad, but wasn't expecting it.

Nice stay in a historic building

Location easy walk into the town centre. Lovely old building . Bedroom was spacious with a high ceiling. The room did not have secondary glazing so experienced some traffic noise, this did not however disturb our sleep.

Bathroom radiator was not working so room was cool . Shower required a shelf or caddy as there was no where to put toiletries.

Great location and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast

Thought that the evening menu was a bit limited. Importantly, the road traffic is very noisy - not conducive for a restful night's sleep as no secondary glazing in the bed rooms facing the road
